| Alright guys, first post on here.
Off to Manchester on Saturday and was wondering where everybody drinks before the game? We're getting into Manchester about dinner time like last year, but we didnt have a clue where to go last time.
Any idea's or recommendations?
Cheers

Real ale drinker ? If so head for the "chop houses" Sams chop house is a quality tipple and also tip top quality food to, take a look www.samschophouse.co.uk/
Also Mr Thomas's chop house, but ask for Toms if you ask any local.
The oyster barn, another winner and a big fav for RL fans as each year I have been to the GF the place has been a hive of activity for RL fans. The oyster bar is a samuel smiths ale house, so quality bitter and good german lagers also, plenty good bottled beers to, also has a huge outside seating area, oh and its cheap a fook for ale, seriously cheap.
Manchester is a spread out city in terms of ale fun. Northern quarter, gay quarter, piccadily area, deansgate locks etc etc... cant go wrong realy.

depends what you are into really?
if cheap fizzy beer is your kind of thing, Walkabout on Quay Street is for you. Should be busy and will have plenty of people in watching whatever sport is on.
Deansgate Locks for some nicer bars - nearer to Old Trafford. Dukes 92 will have plenty going on.
If you are gay, try Canal Street.

which station?
Deansgate station is 2 minutes walk up Deansgate, past the Hilton hotel, big crossroads and its a street on the left.
Piccadilly station - get a taxi.

There's only about 300 places to choose from. Really no need to wander about aimlessly for that long.
