I might have mis-heard this. but I was listening to the Five Live Extra commentary on the Hudds/Cats game last night. At one point, I could have sworn I heard the commentator say something along the lines of "They made the Challenge Cup Final, finished third in the League and HAVE THE MAN OF STEEL IN David Hodgson".

Was this a slip-up by the BBC man and he accidentally confirmed that the votes have been counted, but the result not made public yet, or was it just a slip of the tongue and he meant to say "and could have the MOS"...

Personally, I think Hodgson deserves it, so there would be no arguments from me on this score. I was just wondering whether anyone else heard this, or whether I just mis-heard.

Fair enough. Thought I probably did (us old men have trouble hearing!) Was just interested to know whether anyone could give me a definite answer. Mind you, Graham doesn't sound much like Hodgson icon_lol.gif

DAVID Hodgson is NOT in the three nominations, so someone is incorrect - probably both (you & the commentator).

David Hodgson has been the best winger by far this year, deserved accolade, wish we had him in our front row.

I was just thinking the same thing, It's a nice award to win, but really who gives a dam? I'm sure the trophey was no consolation what so ever to graham or any of the saints players or fans last year! for what it's worth I think graham has no chance this year, it's a popularity comp and graham has maybe shown himself up a bit this season, some of his actions won't sit well with his peers.

I agree graham has shown himself up at times but it's not a popularity comp at all!

It's who's had biggest impact on the season and played well through the year.

IMO graham has been all that.

I agree graham has played well all year, but I can see moz getting it as he is one of the nice guys in the sport, I think a lot of players will vote for him as he's played well and is a top bloke

I think at the end of the day the nod will go to Hodgson. Judging from the interviews with players who made the dream team quite a number said their vote would be for Hodgson. Most of the others seemed to go to Graham and an odd one for Moz.

Hodgson has been good at times but he has also been pretty gash at times, but no doubt his leadership has helped turn hudds around
