I can't get away from work until after the alternative travel has already left for St Helens so I'm coming up on the train.
The thing is the quickest option seems to be St Helens Junction.
What is the best way to get to Knowsley Road from here. Taxi? Walk intio centre then taxi?
Any help appreciated.

You'll want a 121 or 122.
Take you straight from St Helens Junction to Knowsley Road.
They're every half an hour at 16 & 46 minutes past. Take you about half an hour to get from the station to the ground.

Are there taxis from St Helens Junction these days?
There are plenty of buses from right outside the station, all of which go through the town centre (where there are taxis!) and some of which go to Eccleston, which is the area of St Helens in which Knowsley Road can be found. The bus costs around £2.00 to £2.50 to get out to Eccleston, with it being £1.70 to the town centre from St Helens Junction, one way.
You need to watch train times going back. And the buses as well! Taxi back is probably a good idea.

Get the number for a private hire such as 01744 600 600 but there are others ..good luck |

I'm only going one way as going back on the coach.
I just can't make it in time from work for the coach. |

If you let me know what time you arrive, I can let you know if i can pick you up ok. Or you can get a cab/bus to st helens town centre, head to teh cultural quarter ( makes me s that haha ) and go to the George Pub and take the mick out of the women that go in there.
