| I am a Quins fan travelling up for the game on Friday 22nd June 2009, I have family in Widnes and am staying in widnes (near the asda postcode:WA8 6AH its on widnes road).
What is the easiest way for me to get to your ground?
Cheers,

| When we had a box at Widnes we travelled by taxi. You could probably get a bus (or 2!) to get to St Helens but I think the 'easiest' way is by taxi - should cost about £15 each way.
Perhaps get the bus in, and then a taxi back - unless of course your kind hosts would like to drive you ...

| The only bus that operates at night is the 17B. It is a hourly service and the last one leaves St Helens town centre at 11.08pm.
From Widnes they leave at 40 minutes past the hour.
The other bus (33A) stops running about 6pm.
Log on to Halton Transport website.
There is no direct rail line.

I think you'll be too late whichever form of transport you use unless you know Emmett Brown

Widnes uses to have its own underground but it closed in 1952 when the trams were put into place. And since the tram system was abused by peopel riding for free, they have now pulled the 24 hour trams and all trams stop running at 11pm. There is a monorail available from st helens town hall, to widnes town hall, but this is only available until 3am ( last monorail shuttle departs st helens townhall at 2:51am )...so I would say monorail or taxi are your best options, unless the underground re opens or the tram users start to pay for its use !
Oh and as you would have been told from your widnes family, the cable car that used to go from runcron to widnes and onto sutton ( sutton in st helens ) is now closed due to the abuse of non paying passengers also. This is all because of scousers I may add. And folk from Parr ( diehardofowl not you included or yoru family ok )
Syd

| A bit of bad news. The one wheel has been stolen from the mono rail and a replacement can't be sourced.
There will be a national appeal for it's return, but the police and St. Helens mayor are not too hopeful.

Quick question.
Is a monorail without a wheel just a rail?
