| How nice is it to see genuine pace on the wing again? His improvised free play last night took me back to the days of Albert and Sullivan.

I said the same thing last night that how good it was to see him running along the line jinking in and out like Sullivan did.

We are pretty covered in the fullback position aren't we.
Lomax, makinson, wello, swift, Hohaia all being pretty good in that position.

If he keeps putting in performances on the wing then I'm not too fussed.

He isn't a 6. He doesn't see himself as one, neither do the club. Not really sure why people keep talking about him as a halfback.

It's becoming annoying.
One of my mates pointed out this love in for Swift to play at #6 and it annoys me every time I see it now! Considering he's never played #6 in the first team, or shown anything to suggest he [icould[/i play there, it's ridiculous to see so many people suggest it for some reason.

| Probably because unlike Wilkin, Wellens & Hohaia amongst others tried in that position he at least offers an attacking threat as he has pace to burn & a step off both feet. Sure he played SO at amateur level & on occassions at U21 level. With OBrien & Wilkin looking settled, Wheeler returning to fitness & the side playing much better of late its less an issue. For me when Percival was in the side, with Meli & Mak taking the wing spots he was undeservedly not selected as he has always impressed when selected & people are looking at ways of getting a genuine talent into the side. When Lomax was injured he should if been a shoe-in at full back yet we endured Hohaia playing there & even at centre versus Hull KR. I appreciate he's had a few injuries also though.

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.

Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
Bingo, hes a better option than them and Howarth who has also played there.
No ones said hes the answer just a better option than those mentioned when we didnt have Obrien.
I dont get certain peoples refusal to acknowledge this.
He was signed as a six and played for England as an amature there. Its not that big of a leap as some on here like to suggest.

I'm going off what a family member of his has said. The club don't see him as a 6 and don't intend on using him there. I reckon the coaching staff are better judges of his ability to play there than we are.

| He's delivered every time he has been called into the squad - both this season and last season. Looks like a proper player in the sense that he reads the game exceptionally well and understands the game. Might sound like a basic thing but for a young player to show that level of maturity and confidence takes some doing.
He's full of confidence and it looks as though he is nailed on for next season. A combination of Percival, Manu and Swift with Lomax out the back could be pivotal for us next season down the left hand side.

| Can cover most of the back line positions (and well) if needed, I'd rather have him over Ade and you can guarantee he's on a lot less cash
