Captain fantastic made 5 metres last night. Yes 5 metres in 80 minutes. A captain, a leader just somebody we need to lead by example

I have nothing against Wilkin but that is an absolute disgrace. Not just a talking point if that was in a work place he would need disciplining.

I mean 5 metres ? Give any of us a chance out there and we,d manage much more. He makes more yards when his making a #ng coffee.

This sums up our club at the minute from the coaches right down to the captain.

Wilkin for me isn't a forward anymore. I posted it on the Salford thread. He's not really played there for two years and imo if he's not in the halves or ball playing 13 then he shouldn't play.

Walsh was even worse he only made 1 metre and missed quite a lot of tackles. For Wilkin I should imagine this will be his last season.

When Walsh was on forehead wasn't making meters, it's not his game, he never been a runner.

Your missing the point forward or back. Walsh worse or not that ladies and gentleman is our CAPTAIN the leader of our club. I can't believe this is going un noticed its an absolute disgrace

I've known he's not up to it in the forwards since 2008. He went down hill since then but had two very important years for us at 7. He carried us really when moved to 7. In fact he should have been our player of the year two years ago when Turner got it

I think this is what it means when leaders on the field don't turn up.

Walmsley put in a shift and Savellio tried at times, but 5 meters is woeful. You can do 5m in one carry.

Those two was the only two that showed any effort

So happy then with Savelio switching off after his dummy spit, turning his back and letting Dobson dive over for his try?

Wilkin was interviewed on talk sport on Thursday and to summarize things he basically said the game at Salford will be about no risk no frills football and all about the dark arts and it would be April /May before we see any exciting rugby. This tells you all you need to know about 'the culture' of this club right now.

Personally, I don't think he's ever been a top forward in wet conditions. He's always been found wanting in size. In warmer weather on a dry pitch he does a lot better.

He's the captain, and like Wellens before him, we need him in the 17, however I agree, not in the second row. Should be in the halves taking more responsibility whether Walsh likes it or not.

I always thought your captain should have been Roby not Wilkin, who I believe gets paid a ton as your marque player (is that right?)
However last night made me change my mind, Walmsley is your best player by a MILE, without him you would have got nilled and probably conceded more, the guy has to start and imo be made captain and your marque player, if not hes welcome to be ours

Well based on thurdays game youd want people following his example over Wilkins, he showed that hes got pride in his performance when others clearly dont, seems like good criteria for a captain to me
