| Big call for Keiron here. Walsh for me is done, it's not just recovery as he's not improving at all. He's lost his agility, lateral movement and has absolutely no confidence in his leg.
Wilkin back to 7 next week or try Quinlan?
While we're at it can we ensure Dawson doesn't play for us again? What exactly is the point of him?

It's to early to totally write Walsh career off due the nature of the injury and obviously had set backs so it takes time but I think he's lost his bottle.
He's avoiding contact. His defence since he came back is worst I've seen from a pro player and he can't blame the leg on that. The was a ball that went to ground in the 2nd half and he was afraid of dropping on it and that's worrying.
I don't know if Id drop him yet but it's something that's entered my head.

| He's looked like Ben Walker since he's come back.

What I can,t understand is that Walsh and Burns had a good partnership at Penrith, the few games they have played together they look like total strangers to each other and have no game partnership whatsoever.

I was thinking this, they look like 2 strangers who have not met until 6:20 tonight.

| The difference is - Burns' legs weren't gone at Penrith.
He was A LOT quicker five years ago.
As for Walsh - I hope the club were careful to fully assess the extent of his recovery BEFORE offering him a new contract. He wouldn't be the first player to tell everyone he's feeling fine when he isn't.

| Yawn. Seen this all before. Every player gets slated then boom we the the grand final. Anything can happen yet this year.
The people we should be questioning are the lads wjo have never had a good game for St Helens e.g. Dawson and Flanagan. What these two clowns provide i will never know.

I'm still prepared to cut Dawson a bit of slack. He'll never be anything special. But constantly being in and out of the side whilst moving up and down positions can't be helping the lad. And it's not as though we have an awful lot of options to choose from.
Admittedly, you could say the same about Flash. But in his case I do think we have better options coming through from the juniors.
As for Walsh, no one doubts he has the skills. But if he's not physically up to the job then it's tough to execute them. At best I think it's unlikely he'll return to his best until next season. At worst - not at all. We have to remember - it was a bad injury.

| Dawson was absolutely pants again and was targeted by Leeds to a good and easy effect..
No wonder he was surprised by the new contact. NEVER a SL player.
I don't see the point of Burns & Walsh playing together; probably keep burns because at least he can tackle but Wilkin - who was doing most of the kicking tonight - looks a better HB option than Walsh, for whatever reason.
Not happy with that pathetic performance by the team. As KV says, they (senior players) need to have a good look at themselves in the mirror.

| Walsh has only had a couple of games so I would keep Walsh in the side for the remaining 3 fixtures before the 8's hoping he and Burns find some form. I don,t think we can get any worse at the moment and we are desperate for creativity, defence can be fixed, consistency to perform we don.t really know.
We were in a similar position last year then pulled it around for the play offs, still lots of twists and turns over the coming months.

| But if Walsh has no confidence then he is a liability every team will target.
You can't be a weak link in defense when the fringes were already weakened.
