I,m hoping he settles in with Burns and takes the 3rd year option, signing another decent scrum half is getting more difficult year on year.

Last year we were in bad shape against Widnes and seem to remember Wheeler, Wilkin and Jones having stinkers , we are tighter unit this year and we do have a decent half back in Burns this time around.

Don't get me wrong, I'm counting the days down for walsh return but if we being totally honest its not been great signing due to his injurie(s). I bet he's missed more than he's played. This will be 6 games already this year.

I'd love nothing more than a fully fit walsh now and for another 5 years but at the moment giving him another year could leave us with one hakfback AGAIN

When the squad was announced everyone on Twitter was saying Wello should be at fullback. Why? Makinson could play there, with Dawson on the wing, or play Hohaia there with Wilkin and Burns in the halves. For me, even without Lomax and Walsh, Wellens just doesn't get into the best 17 players available. We also should be putting youth ahead of him if there is any and I refuse to believe we've got no backs in the academy that couldn't do a job at fullback.
