| Wow what a player. I've just seen highlights from our u20 victory over Salford and the lad looks the business.
Fantastic passing skills, good kicking game that included a 40/20 and to top it off one try was a 60 metre run in which he went round the full back and the second was a 80 metre dash for the line.
At 19 years of age he can't be far away from a first team appearance. He plays stand off.

| Looks a talent but quite a slight guy - I remember him coming off the bench in the reserve GF and looking good with the ball but a bit lightweight. Then again so is Sam Tomkins . . . .

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row

Superb player. He was Saints standout player last season when Saints played at Wigan at both U18 and U21.
I've seen him play fullback, centre, scrum half and stand off. He's certainly one to keep a lookout for, and IMO a much better long term prospect than Wheeler, Foster or Lomax.

| He has the ideal frame and build to play fullback. Kind of reminds me of Brett Mullins.
Whether he'll make it, tho, is another question.

The hghlights of most of Saints academy matches and under 20 games are available on the Saints website.
Simply look in the Team section in under 20 team championship also under 18s championship, and Saints scholarship.

| so we've all fallen out with Jamie "the next Lyon" Foster already and instead heap pressure on some other bloke further down the food chain.

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
To be fair - from what I saw of Foster in the reserves I couldn't quite get the hype - he isn't particularly fast, strong, evasive. He's a terrific goal kicker, but what are his key attributes other than that?
Gaskell, on the other hand, has played well for us above his age group and looks a talented player for a number of reasons - kicking game, pace, makes breaks and a nice passer of the ball.
He isn't that much further down the food chain either - he's a first team squad member like Foster and only about 3 months younger. Looks a much better prospect, from what I've seen anyway.

| Human beings mature (physiologically and psychologically) at different rates and so it's perfectly possible to have two players with a handful of months between them one of whom can be SL-competitive at 18 whilst the other doesn't make the grade until 21/22. Which is why it's silly to draw comparisons based purely on age.
