There is a debate in one of the topics on the wire board about whether the unbeaten streak against wire is more important to us or them.. It will be interesting to hear the Saints fans take on it!

It's personally very important to me, but that may be because I live in Warrington! I honestly can't stand their arrogance, and it makes beating them all the sweeter.

'It's our year' should be their official club slogan IMO..

I'd sooner lose to them and win the Grand Final.

It's that simple. The streak, while amusing, is just that, a streak. Records are made to be broken. When we lose, Warrington will drown in a sea of sex wee. We'll be bruised, but move on.

It's nice to hold it above their head, but is it important? Well, not really.

Although as stated it's quite an amusing statistic, it's no more than that

When they eventually beat us losing the game will be more hurtful than losing the actual streak. That sounds like the same thing but they are quite different

It ended at KR for me. I wouldnt be overly upset if we lost this, except the loss of two points. Of course, saints fans who live/work in warrington or newton-le-willows might be in for some flack if we do lose

It would be hell! xD I get more nervous before a Saints v Wire than I do before a Saints v Wigan.. I even live with a Warrington fan! Uncool..

Why on earth would a Warrington Supporter give a St Helens supporter flack for Wire winning one game? After the years of not winning, I hardly think us Warrington Supporters would be shouting our mouths off!

As for Arrgogant? I am confused how we are arrogant... and for the club motto "year of the", well that ended 2 years ago when we ended the 30 odd years of not winning anything...

Im new to this forum so Im not sure how you lot are, the but wire fans round where we I live are unbearable! They brag based on the ASSUMPTION that you're going to win, I shudder to think at what they'd be like if you actually did win! You'd think winning the challenge cup makes you the best team in the world if you'd listen to them. Also, people I never even knew liked rugby are declaring themselves die hard Wire fans? It was a little bit strange!

The Wire streak finished at KR for me too and will resume again when we move into our new stadium. IF we were to lose tonight it would be on a neutral ground (that's what I'll be saying to them anyway).Therefore it doesn't count.

If you ask some of the more idiotic wire fans what their aims are at the start of the new season some will reply 'to beat saints'. Morons! If, at the end of the year, we have been d1cked by saints twice again but have won a trophy i couldn't give a e.

Jesus tonight when did the Wire start competing with the Goons for 'self made victim of the century'. Okay so you've won a few games and feel a little bit cocky but tone down the Judas complex before coming on this forum. Who cares if you beat us in the rounds, it's two points that's it!
