He did ok. He wasn't as good as he was in the kiwi game but played more mins and did more tackles. He wasn't running like he was against the kiwis.

| I hope that his display was a one off.
He did not impress me whatsoever.

| Made a few strong carries - but nowhere near the intensity of last week - to be fair Samoa as a team were cruising 20-0 up when he came on

But he was impressive against the biggest and IMO the best pack in rugby league last week against the kiwis.
It was 22-0 when he came on and over as a contest when he arrived on the field.

| He played an extended spell of 35 mins around half time. He also came on for the last 5-10 mins so the coach was probably trying to give him an extended run to improve his conditioning.
He came up with some big tackles (the Rovers fans seemed to enjoy them), the issue he had was that all the Papuans are very short. He had to bend quite far down to hit them legally.
He made some big metres in the tackle but I do feel he could have run harder to try and break through. However as someone else has already said he came on when the game was won, so not much motivation to bust a gut.
Sia was immense, he was everywhere in defence and did some great running.

| Got to say that while I love to watch a huge bloke on the field (Paul Anderson, what a star), I was a bit concerned that Masoe was not well-conditioned-huge, so much as who-ate-all-the-pies-huge. I hope we can get his conditioning right next year, or he'll only be worth a ten-minute bench slot.

| Well as he is getting an extended season with the WC, it should help towards keeping him trimmer.

Good post, went last night. He,s a big lad and my honest first thought was a taller Feka Eatapieaseena As you say, your not gonna get a lot of minutes out of him as he is. Deffo an impact player. Sia soliola was immense, looked fit and up for it, did the full 80...

| I payed close attention to the amount of minutes Mose did yesterday and people are obviously pre judging him. He played around 45 minutes, including a 25 minute period in the first half. That's long minutes for such a big man, when he's fully conditioned after a pre season I have no doubt the minutes won't be an issue for him.

| I would be quite happy if we can get 15 to 20 mins out of him each half, one of those sessions being a game changing one in our favour.

I did, I did. But he was playing against a bunch of blokes who included a lot of amateurs from the PNG local competition, and even then he wasn't exactly setting the world on fire. Anyway, I'm not writing him off, but there's big and fit (Perelini), and there's big and fat (Barry Ward), and he looked like the sort of big which comes with some extra pounds last night.
Plenty of time though. I'll be cheering him on in his [XXXL] Saints shirt.
