| Adam Swift - again. His mistake was pure Thatto heath standard once again. Not only that but our last set he receives the ball and fumbles but luckily regathers with no pressure whatsoever. He drops that we lose the game.
Grace is raw but fit me it's Tommy and Regan on the wings once Barba plays

Spot on mate, I was stood right in front of Swifty last night when he let Burgess just nonchalantly go past him and score that try, what was he doing?! I ve said the same, once Barba comes in drop Swifty for a couple of games and let tommy and regan run the wings with Barba at the back.
Also was it just me or was that 14 against 13 for 80 mins last night, Ref was a disgrace! Wigan never onside, high tackles, punch up, dodgy decisions and the ref did f*ck all about it!

| I'm a fan of Swifty, I've defended him in the past when he's had one of those games where has dropped everything, but I can't now.
In those games I refer to, he usually bounces back with a great performance, but he's not. He's playing poorly, so I'd drop him too for a few games.

| Apart from that one error which was a wickedly bouncing ball he had a solid game.
I could also point out Grace dropping the ball when he was tackled. Something Swifty gets crucified for.
As things stand Swifty has proven to be a top quality winger over the last couple of years.
Grace represents potential, but has so far had more shockers than decent games.

That was a terrible mistake for the try and no excuse at all. He had plenty of time to put that ball out. He needs to cut these mistakes out or he will be out the team when barba plays.

| By the time Barba is available any of the current backs could be injure or out of form so the decision may make itself.
The quandary may be if we go on a decent winning run and are in good form then Barba becomes available do we change a winning team. that would be a nice problem to have

Grace knocked on because of a crunching tackle to be fair. Swift usually knocks on without a player being within 10 metres of him.

| Swift reminds me very much of Shaun Ainscough in both style and physique. He was another who looked very promising but never really progressed and carried on making similar errors. Michael Maguire gave him a few chances but then sent him on his way.

He's not as bad as ainscough. He was a a accident waiting to happen all his life. Swifty has been safe as houses up until this year where he's started making mistakes. Up until this year I'd never doubt he'd take the kicks. I think his confidence is low.

I think in part its down to poor coaching that has resulted in Swift being bulked up and being asked to play like a prop, carting the ball up through the middles 20 times a match.
Looking back at the stats from a couple of years ago pre Cunningham you can see that Swift and Makinson made around same number of mistakes.

That's the major worry for me, he's going backwards every season now and has for probably the last three years. I panic whenever the ball is on that side of the pitch, defensively and with the ball. He's been a mess this season. I think Holbrook would do well in dropping him for a couple of weeks to see if that refocuses him.

Regan Grace is very dodgy also. I know he's still a kid and pretty new to the game even but he's a accident waiting to happen.
I personally think he's done a good job coming in but I don't think he's ready to be playing super league week in and week out YET.
We've not had two dodgy wingers since the Gardner and Meli days.

| I'd agree on Grace. He's a great talent but clearly still needs some coaching and time. He's not an overly big lad and I wouldn't advocate him bulking up like others have been made too but he's been shaken a few times with the impact of tackles and he's spilled the ball as a result, he will no doubt fill out a bit naturally. When Lomax and Barba are both available we should have the numbers and quality to be able to give him a break without fear.
