We currently find ourselves 4th with 4 wins out of 5. We have beaten Huddersfield, Hull KR, Castleford and Wakefield but have been soundly beaten by Salford.

I would say that we have played low risk rugby so far and you could argue that this was enough in the fixtures we had with the weather we have played in also.

The weather is starting to get better and we have a big set of fixtures looming:

Leeds a
Wigan h
Widnes a
Hull h
Warrington a

Although we all have our own opinions of what has happened in the last 6 weeks (myself included) the next 5 weeks are crucial and we will see where we stack up against the contenders for the league.

Big set of games coming up. The worry for me is good Friday. We should have enough to beat Leeds but Wigan are always up for the good Friday fixture. We haven't won that fixture for so long and they are defending well, so I do worry about whether we will be able to break them down.

Yes, this is the acid test. I've been critical of our approach to the game, and still have significant reservations in spite of some recent improvement; I think we'll find it difficult to break these sides down, and our vulnerabilities in edge defence will be given a thorough examination by them, too. I hope to be proven wrong over the next few weeks, though.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_47035.gif

Well at first it was going to be a win at our bogey ground Hull KR were so many Saints sides have failed in the past was going to be a test.
Then the real worry was going to be Cas were we could have suffered a drubbing giving the way they were playing with flare.
Then it was well we need to keep Wakefield to 1 score.
Now Leeds have been prematurely declared easy beats, so no test there.

That's half the league we fans are not rating as capable.

I'd like to know when the next loss will be acceptable? As the goal posts keep getting moved.

We will loose at some point and then people can be happy again.

We've been very lucky in our fixtures so far. Huddersfield had plenty out injured and the weather was appalling, which suited us perfectly. Hull KR were in an absolute shambles with no coach when we went there, missing half their side and yet we'd have lost had Albert Kelly not gone off injured. Cas was a decent enough performance, but again lucky in that they had a large portion of the game with 14 players. If Roberts doesn't drop that all after they'd scored and were about to again, we'd have had a big struggle on our hands. Wakefield I don't even consider a result really, they are the most feable side in SL history and again came to play us without a coach.

The Leeds game is the most interesting one for me. They have been truly horrific this season so far and we should be beating them. Will we? The reality is this side has only been tested once this season and flunked.

Do you go the games? If so, do you feel your getting good value for your money?

I want us to win every week in every single game but I'm at the point where I'm considering not going games (season ticket holder for over 10 years). I don't know how much more of this bore fest I can take and the atmosphere is rock bottom. The is more noise down at brook on Saturday afternoon.

Yes people are moaning but if you have to sit 80 mins watching the most boring team in super league which we are paying money to watch, then I feel we have a right to complain.

I'm just bored to tears at our games.

I have had a season ticket for 43 years and said last year that I was considering giving it up because, frankly, I don't enjoy the game any more. That's not just us by the way I mean the game in general is boring - no characters no real confrontation, nothing. The game has been sanitised beyond belief.

However I don't subscribe to the notion that Saints are boring just because the game is boring. If you look at the way Widnes and Cas are trying to play you'll see there's room for creativity and flair if you are allowed to demonstrate it. I took a lot of flak last year for criticising KC in his first year but it was clear to me then, and still is, that he is not coaching material and I think the majority of fans are now seeing that.

We are creating our own problems and I have seen it before. People are discontent with performances if not results and they have every right to complain because, ultimately, our ineptitude will mean that we win nothing. So it's ok saying that 'it's early' or 'we'll come good later' but anyone with half a brain can see that there's no way this team is good enough and that it isn't being coached well enough to win anything.

It's a matter of time for him once the crowds start dropping.

I wanna be........:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_74728.jpg

We've won 4 out of 5 this season but at least three of those games (Hudds, Hull KR & Cas) we've been helped massively by either a depleted squad or an in-game injury. I honestly think we'd of lost to that shambles of a Hull KR side had Kelly stayed on. With injuries to Swift and Percival our backs look really ordinary and i think it will be a case of you dont know what you have till it's gone with Swift who still seems to split opinion. Add in the insistence by KC of this Turner at 6 project of his and we have the prospect of a horrific backline in the next few weeks.

First half against an admittedly atrocious Wakefield there seemed to be a conscious effort to throw the ball about and it was entertaining. The second wasn't so great. The atmosphere was one of the worst i can remember, i think it was on the 60 minute mark a song was first sung. Largely you can just hear people talking about their tea, twitter or the other games. People i speak to seem to feel an obligation to go rather than a want to.

We seem to just be plodding along at the moment playing an effective way that will see us in and around the top 4 but at what cost? I think if we can win 3 or 4 of the next 5 playing a decent brand of rugby the atmosphere will pick up and fans will give him more time. I'm not so sure it will happen but i'll be there at every one hoping for a change. Although i don't begrudge anyone for not going.

Not just you mate, the amount of people on their phone or with their backs to the pitch just talking to mates gets more as the weeks roll by.

Unfortunately my shift pattern prevents me from attending a lot of home games and any away. I would take a winning team over an entertaining team always. I have been watching them for 35 years and have many memories of entertaining rugby but ultimately winning nothing. I want us to win first and entertain second. If you are winning players want to come and you can change to an entertaining style. If you're not winning , players wont come no matter what style of rugby you play.

Similar thoughts as well, I'm going to use these next 5 games to decide whether to carry on supporting the club for the remaining season.. The game is littered with time wasting by players, referees, sky video replays. KC and his blinkered coaching approach is just accelerating my decision to stop watching Superleague altogether, the quality player, game intensity and game attitude isn't there anymore.

I would go as far as to say the current crop of super league players is the worst since it's conception. Also the poorest Saints team I can remember.
