We have signed two forwards for our u19's squad both are signed on potential but they're massive.

We have signed Micah Manuokafoa (who was set to go back home to Australia for a playing deal) and a french monster called Levy Nzoungou who at 17 years old is playing first team for Toulouse, he looks about 30. built like a shi& brickhouse.

Keep a close eye on these boys.

N'Zoungou was part of the France U18s team that beat England Academy last week. Huge amount of talent coming through at that age group with Warrington signing up 5 French youngsters last week.

Yeah was speaking to one of the England lads who said the whole team was talking about levy after the game. apparantly he bossed it!

Manukofoa has been playing at Widnes Union. I was told last week he was going home but we got him to have a trial.

Whatever it means, props with real size are a rare commodity, and any successful side needs at least one big prop, whether they play a forward oriented game or not. Add to that the fact that our scouting system has recently brought in two young athletic outside backs who are currently ripping it up at U19 level.

This news shows that we are competing nationwide and beyond for young talent, and thinking outside the box too. To put a negative spin on it is just perverse.

Shame the scouting system hasn't picked up some great young talent locally thats opted for other clubs.

Like who? We can then keep an eye on how they go compared to the lads we did sign.

I'd they aren't saints fans, then we also have to acknowledge that there is more than one good club for a young bloke to sign for and we can't sign them all.

One that I know of plays for Clock Face and is a Saints fan. He is a very very good player and Saints didn't put any effort into signing him up. I'm pretty sure he is now at Wigan scholarship.

Hes at Wigan. The is few brook lads took up scholarships with wigsn and the lad Liam Barnes who had about 4 clubs wanting him go to Widnes or Warrington and he's saints season ticket holder.
