| Commentary on this game has been bloody dreadful so far. 'Percival should be kicking for 12 all not 12-0'. Come on... That's the sort of thing a Cas fan would be saying. They're questioning every single decision the ref is making (when it goes against Cas), both big and small. What would it take to get a little professionalism? This lot p*** me off on a weekly basis. None of them are any good!
Fair enough their last disallowed try should have stood as the pass was flat, but the first one was well forward! But hey, nothing like twisting what happened to fit into a decided narrative, eh?

| That pass was more forward than the Joe greenwood offload vs Salford.
If we're going down reffing gripes, gale should of been penalised for kicking out at the Percival no try, it isn't football.
They were much better during the WCS, so I thought maybe the ref bashing was down to Stevo, but obviously not ...

Eddie and Phil Clarke did my head in tbh, especially in the first half. Funnily enough when Cas got some calls in tbe 2nd, they didn't have anything to say.

| I thought we did well to get through that, but perhaps made it slightly harder than it needed to be. Cas seemed well up for the game, you could tell from their warm up and it's intensity that they weren't there to accept a hammering. They played hard, putting plenty of effort into the tackle and the wrestle to try and throw us off our game. They also attacked well, their shape was superb at times, exposing us and making several clear breaks. Their execution cost them the win ultimately, they bombed a couple of easy chances and put down too much ball in good positions.
Just what on earth were our tactics all about? We had a tough game last weekend when Castleford had the week off. Yet we're kicking on the third every tackle, despite our kicking game being largely awful. Instead of turning them around and trapping them deep, all it meant was the game was turned into a defensive practice session. I just don't get why Saints kept going with the tactics.

I was embarrassed with that drop goal. We are 20-8 up with 5 mins to go on the clock and we drop a goal on 2nd tackle!

| Gritty win by Saints, just have to accept the 2 points and move on to the next game. Decent performance from Travis Burns keeping us ticking over until the cavalary arrives, better game from Lomax and Makinson made some telling tackles to deter the overlap plays.

Seconded, but I was more angry. Then again it is the Wilkin show.

| Jon Wilkin had a shocking game. Sooner Walsh comes back the better.
Can someone please tell Wilkin to stop kicking on the 2nd/3rd tackle!!!!

| The drop goal was the correct call.
It put the game out of reach. No brainer of a decision for me.

20-8 up, 5 meters off their line with 5 mins on clock and we drop a goal on 2nd tackle!
We should have tried to score and if not dropped a goal on 5th but to drop a goal on 2nd tackle isn't what I like to see

| We were in position under the sticks.
Opportunity knocked, Wilkin delivered.

I agree to an extent. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was embarrassing but it did give the ball back to Cas and they scored off the back of it.
You could argue that good game management would be keeping the ball and forcing a drop out.

Had no problem going for the drop goal, but we shouldnt of on the second tackle, chance your arm and go for it if they defended the set.
What was the attendance?

| Drop goal was fine, but at that point we relaxed and let them score.

| Drop goal was clever, composed play. It's what the NRL's best would do in a similar situation. It wasn't the game to play against the odds.
