Regardless if he isn't as genuine as he says and leaves the club in the next couple of years he has given the fans a reason to turn up and will certainly leave the club in a better position they where in before.
If the fans don't get on board and turn up and support the club, and stop turning up if he leaves quite frankly the fans do to deserve a successful club.

He reminds me of some of the comedy foreign owners in football, they might have plenty money but they are clueless when it comes to sports clubs

I really don't care, he puts RL in the headlines the one place all RL fans moan we don't get enough coverage. If he was doing this at Saints I'd be worried, but with Salford it's all positive for them. They have gone from almost folding completely to one of the most talked about clubs without vastly improving the results

All the big time Charlie's would leave as they wouldn't get paid and I don't think I have read to much in him spending money on the youth system other than his long term goals, so not the right players to step up and cover first teamers and you have another London in the league unable to play at the same standard as everyone else and the fans would stop turning up again for this reason ... I do worry a little

I'm a saints fan but also a rugby league fan. I've been playing/watching rugby for 26 years, it's in my blood and live it but this idiot Dr claims to want the "best for rugby league" which is utter BS.

He's treating Rugby league like it's his toy. He wants to waltz in and turn the gams into the 80s where we had one team domination because they have the money. That's not for the good of the game, it's for the good of Salford and it's not sustainable.

The way the league is set up he can't do anything without other chairmen helping him. He does a lot of talk but most of it is just that. People get wound up by him saying he will sign x, y and z but really all he is doing is making sure in the morning Salford are mentioned in the press.

A completely none Salford related story, but for the effort of showing he had £25k going spare he gets Salford up in the papers. No real intention to buy, but it keeps Salfords profile high.

He's a PR mans dream. He's increased Salfords crowds over 100% since taking charge. That's his goal the rest is chaff for free publicity.

But he's serious that he wants the salary cap scrapped and serious he wants the marquee signing rule brought in.
