| Fantastic performance.Thought your forwards were immense.Laid a fantastic platform and totally dominated the Warrington forwards and to think that man mountain Masoe has still to make an appearance.
Luke Walsh was superb considering it was his debut.Must be one of the best debuts ever made by an overseas signing. He is only going to get better as the season rolls on.
Lots of exciting home grown talent on show who all played fantastically.
All bodes well for the Saints this season.
Just hoping you have a bad day when you come to Salford.

| Saints played very well. Roby was my m.o.m.
Wires kicking game was atrocious, someone there has big boots to fill with no Briers.

| Let's put the foot on the brakes a tad here it was a great Saints performance no doubting that hats off to em but let's not ignore just how bad Warrington were and yes a lot of that was down to Saints' efforts but it's one game at the start of the season we'll see how good Saints are against a better performance than tonight's opponents such as Leeds, Wigan, Huddersfield and even Warrington on a different day or more to the point see how good if Lomax misses a chunk of the season again like previous years or Roby, Walsh or Wheeler.

| Lets take one game at a time but tonight i seen something i have not seen for years from a Saints team. Aggression in the pack (Soliola, Manu, Wilkin, Turner) all with high shots which where stupid penalties but that aggression is needed. And most of all a quality half back, said it last year that O Brien made us look 100 percent better when he was here and for me he is a very poor player but better than what we had. Luke Walsh is different Gravy.
Well done lads have a well deserved drink tonight.

So basically, we might play worse if key players are missing? Isn't that true of any team? What if brough or Lunt or Robinson was missing from Huddersfield?
Warrington were poor, but we totally dominated them, we got sloppy towards the end and have things to work on, but it's the first time a saints pack has played with an opposition pack like a rag doll for a very long time.

| I'm more happy for Wheeler. Great to see he has made it through a competitive 80mins. Made up for the lad. Manu didn't look fit tonight did anybody notice or maybe I'm being harsh . However, Walshy booooom what a 7.

Agree about Manu - made a few silly errors in the first stint and wasn't moving up with the line properly in the second - the new Puletua?

| I think it was a good all round team performance. Walsh probably deserved the MOM, but for me very few Saints players stood out. However our defense was good across the board.
I actually thought we got a little sloppy in the 2nd half, but hey it's the first game of the season.
.
I also thought we got lucky. For me Last week with Bowen was a sending off and this week Sia was a sending off too.
Turner and Wilkin got stepped but going by what I deem to be a high tackle it was a red. If the ref did not have a good sight of it then for me it's Yellow easy.
Having said all that, there is no telling what would have happened afterwards and we did face up all match. But always nice to start with a win and I'll take it which ever way it comes. Other than that we totally dominated Wire. Lets hope the players can generate some good feeling in the home game next week to get the crowds coming back.
Wheeler did well for me, was always hunting any lose balls and made a try. I think once we are sharper, some of those half breaks will become full on try's.
Got Walsh in my fantasy team too, get in I put him down as Captain too. DOUBLE POINTS.
I really think we need to stear away from Manu in the first 6 tackles of a game, he did the same at Leeds last year. He tries too hard in his own 20m with 3 men hanging off him. He's never going to win a penalty the way he carries the ball.

Soiled myself over what, if you expect me to be concerned over that performance from Saints then I'd quit watching Rugby a good performance no arguments about that but let's not forget 12 of Saints points were controversial to say the very least some would go as far as to say shouldn't have stood not that it makes much difference to scoreline, performance or result but plenty of handling errors from both sides so as I said 27 rounds have been proven time and time again to mean absolute diddly lets see where Saints are come the play offs.

| I'm not getting carried away. It was good performance but still plenty to work on as the 2nd half was very very scrappy with stupid passes and silly pens.
I still think we look wide open when the ball is moved wide (especially our left).
All on all, it was good week one performance with a lot of positives. We worked hard. We look fit. We showed desire in defence and looked much better with the ball.
I'd give us 7/10.
Walsh looks a real halfback and wheeler looks perfect in at stand off.

| Personally thought we were quite patchy in our performance.
Wire were dire.
I think a more structured team like Wigan or Huddersfield would have got upto 50 or 60 points against them.
Saints seemed to spend part of the match show boating, trying to entertain rather than trying to win. End result is you make daft mistakes.
As predicted our pack looked strong, and to think we had players like Masoe, and Clough sitting it out.
Our main weakness seemed to be on the Percival, Swift side. It got stretched a few times.
I think when fit we will continue with Amor and Walmsley starting, then after 15-20 mins, Lafranchi will come on the pitch for Walmsley, then on the 30 min mark Masoe will replace Amor.
I also think Hohoia should be on the bench ahead of Wellens, who seemed to just be making up the numbers when he came on. Lance would add an injection of pace when teams are tiring.
