| I'll start then.
Q1 - Utterly pathetic
Q2 - Hmmm if we attack Wire aren't that good
Q3 - All over them. you could just see tries coming
Q4 - Some bad judgement plays (why to the left all the time when Wire were there for the taking with only Evans and Riley to beat on our right). Ran out of steam; illustrated by our lack of wanting to form a scrum.
Silverwood - useless Wire were offside for most PTB's
Wellens - added some steel to our middle
Howarth - couldn't get into the game so was taken off. Brought him back on in the last 15 mins with same result.
Overall - mystified with our first and last 20 mins.
MOM - Lomax (in spite of mistake at the end).

Silverwood - hammered Wires for every PTB discretion yet totally ignored the type of niggling, spoiling, ugly tactics by Saints that Wigan are regularly decried for on here.

I'd agree with that. Sums the game up nicely.
I think the turning point was whoever kicked on the fourth when we were all over them in the second half. Someone at the game thought it was Howarth but on the bit of the Red Button I caught when I got home they said it was Lomax. But that signalled a change in momentum back to Wire.
But the death knell IMO was that utterly dumb decision to make a cock up of trying to score when we were awarded a penalty instead of taking a sitter for 2 which would then have meant a try and a goal would have won the match.
I don't think we have a single rugby brain on the pitch. And we don't appear to have one in the coaching team either.
As for your MOM being Lomax. I think he had a mixed bag of a night. He certainly didn't stand out positively for me.
I would give it to Turner not least for that tackle in the first half which changed things to the good for us, gave us a bit of spark. He was almost single handedly trying to get us into the game when we had been cringeworthy in our incompetence.
We started out at home, very poor. We ended up at home, marginally better. It's taken a full season for us to go hardly anywhere.

We should have took the two points with aprox 10 mins to go with the pen under the posts. That would have made it 18-23 with a converted try winning the game. It would have also put massive pressure on the wolves.
I agree with Howarth. We shouldn't have brought him back on. Lance was playing well at 9. He was causing them problems with the ball and also putting in a shift in defence. I thought we really had them, we was smashing them in defence, making breaks, the crowd was buzzing and brown took lance and Lms off and we went flat.

| Wire when pressured are rather poor we didn't pressure them enough early on. A fit Roby would have made the difference. However it could have been worse and it may be their year first time since 1954 let them have it. Oh they have won about five challenge cups since 1954 big club my .

| Warrington only had one move and that was the kick. Then again Saints have never been able to defend from kicks in all the years I've been watching them.

I can't beleive we didn't kick that goal. It just shows we have no leader or brain on the pitch.

That's true - in Lomax's case he can't even defend them from two yards out with a 17 stone prop beating him to it.

I don't think his postining on kicks in goal is the greatest to be honest.

If that's the case your players are poor readers of the game as it worked 4 times. Porr effort.

Blimey if you are that upset, we'll give you the 2 points.
