| What are people's thoughts on Manu, Turner and Walmsley after last nights hit out?
Pros, Cons, rate out of 10?

| Manu 8/10 but we only saw 40 mins of him and didn't use him to his best but he did set Roby up for his try
Turner 8/10 did nothing wrong and he can kick goals which is a bonus
Walmsley 9/10 apart from his knock on with his first touch he was excellent and made some good yards, he tired after some hard work so was substituted but was very impressed (Perry watch out)

| Thought they all did reasonably well to be honest, but with the constant swapping and changing, it was difficult to tell.
Manu only played first half, but he caused the Huddersfield defence some real problems when he was on. He didn't have much space down that left side, but carried the ball forward strongly and was a real handful. Managed to pop a decent offload out for Robes down the other end for his try, and was dangerous. He seemed to link up well with Wilkin down that left side, will be interesting to see how that develops.
Walmsley recovered well from the worst possible start, and recived a huge roar when he came on. Obviously his adrenalin was through the roof, and was to keen to play the ball resulting in an error. Apart from that, he carried the ball in well, and gave us some steel down the middle defensively.
Turner, like Manu, didn't have an awful lot of space, but he was solid and kicked his goals. Made a a little break in the first half, but as I said, he didn't have much room to work in.

| Very impressed with Manu and Walmsley. Do we think Turner will be our first choice kicker then? Even when he went off, Lomax kicked ahead of Makinson

| Did Jordan Hand get any game time, great if him and Walmsley make big improvements we could have a front row with power and pace next couple of seasons.

| I thought Manu and Turner did out but was pretty quite.
I was very impressed with Alex Walmsley, he reminds me of Jason cayless. He made some good meters, worked hard and tackled well. A very good debut.
Its only a friendly so best not to be to carries away with Walmsley but he showed some real potential. He's fitted in very well at the club and is very popular amongst the lads.

| Hand did come on in the second half and looked quite effective driving the ball in. Walmsley looks a good prospect.

So as we'll as Walmsley, we've got Hand who's looked alright, Forster - who didn't look out of his depth last year when he played and Walker - also highly rated.
No excuses for Mr Perry under performing next year, then?

Is Greenwood a 2nd rower then?

Ta mate Had it in my head he was a prop for some reason. Certainly a few young lads going to be pushing through in next couple of years then hopefully.

He's pretty big so that's probably why. He's been a second rower coming through the ranks but I'd imagine he can probably play prop if needed to.
Certainly a lot bigger and different than the likes of Ashurst and Dixon coming through in recent years.

You have to credit our youth system, so many young lads have come through over the past few years, its great to see.
From a squad point of view, it's extremely healthy. We have several players competing against each other for spots in the 17, and the young players will feed of that. Hopefully NB will give players like Greenwood, Hand etc a shot against the so called "lesser teams" during the season and it will be gat to see how they develop.

| I think Greenwood'll be involved a lot more this season, especially with the losses of Dixon and Magennis. He had a good game last night and ran a good line for his try, hopefully he can become more than a Salford-destined backrower like Dixon and Ashurst.
