The Bulls must be desperate for a goalkicker to sign Foster. They have offered him a 1 year contract and stated he has things to prove. His goalkicking talent is well documented so there is nothing to prove there; so have the Bulls knowingly signed a player that leaves much to be desired in all aspects other than his boot?. If so why?.

Jamie is an average winger, he has some talent and with a good centre (like he had with Meli) he will score lots. But his goal kicking can and will win matches, we yet again last year lost some games due to our poor kicking. A wise investment by the bulls IMO

I grow tired of people bagging him for anything but Rugby. If he can secure his financial future then good for him, if we are so small minded and against people who can earn their own income, then we show how parochial we are.

He has a hairdressing business, he wears flash boots for a sponsor, he takes care of his looks and gets his face out there, what a terrible person he must be earning his own living and paying his own way in the world.

Whatever you think of him, he pulled his tripe out playing for us and I hope he does well at Bradford and beyond. I really don't understand why he polarises opinion so much, he's just a run of the mill player.

Seriously, I agree, nothing wrong with putting yourself out there providing your rugby doesn't suffer.

Surprised Union didn't come knocking, stick him on the wing in union and he wouldn't do anything anyway, his kicking would be a major asset.

On the flip side his mistakes have cost games so rough with the smooth i suppose

And to who ever posted about getting his face out there when he first broke through he was the next best thing didn't do much wrong UNTILL it started going to his head and you could see his career unfolding before your eyes depends what he cares more about

What an utterly ridiculous comment. His goalkicking won us loads of games and yet he had what, one bad game and that's it? His mistakes cost us games? Hell, if one bad game gets you dropped and binned that is the whole of our team gone. Stupid, stupid comment. Shows what airheads fans can be.

I hope he does so well at Bradford that McManus is squirming again, just as he did over Gilmour at a recent fans forum.

We're not desperate for a goal kicker, we have Gale and Sammut that can kick goals. Foster is the best goal kicker in the league though, IMO.

He will score tries for us as well, especially outside a class centre like Lulia.

With a few exceptions on the topic of Jamie Foster, the phrase "with friends like you, who needs enemies?" comes to mind. What has the lad done wrong to deserve such venom and mindless criticism? He had a nightmare game against the bulls early last season and some of his defence wasn't great but did anyone play particularly well (Robes always excepted!) for the first six weeks of the season? Have we already forgotten the previous season when his profile was particularly high - that brilliant try against Wigan, swapping hands with the ball and scoring in the corner? Additionally, unlike Meli, he could generally cope with a high ball in defence.

I watched him play in a couple of Hull's televised games this season. He scored tries, defended well and kicked lots of goals so why dismiss him like this?

Our academy system is reportedly excellent but then we simply let our young players go elsewhere, having had little chance to prove themselves in the first team. I have to say I'm disapppointed with the decision to let him go and even more disappointed with the callous remarks from some of you lot....!

From comments I've heard last season when standing behind the posts at Langtree Park, my son and I aren't the only ones who'll be disappointed that Saints have let him go.

Good luck, Jamie.

I understand the rugby reasons for letting him go, but I would have used those same reasons for letting other winger go too. So I don't think we are consistent when it comes to players.

There is the risk that he could recover his early form, but the fact he has only signed 1 year at bradford means he is open to us to re-sign if he proves me and other knockers wrong.

As for his side lines from Rugby I have never understood people knocking this about him, a lot of it just seams to be a case of disliking someone for making something of themselves.

I dont get it either and i'm yet to see this big attitude he is supposed to have, he always signs autographs for kids, donates his boots to charity every week, what more can the lad do?
Rugby wise our wingers are currently Makinson, Ade and Meli. Foster has made no more mistakes than ade or meli thats for sure

I think people are missing the point. He asked was he first choice next year, he was told he wasn't.

He didnt want to play another season in the 20s ( whatever it is now) or go to Rochdale so he asked to go and saints agreed.

I think its a credit to Jamie that he wants to play Super league and not just take the money but my points is, Saints didnt get shut of him!
