I'm hoping to watch Norwich V Liverpool in the afternoon before the semi on Saturday. Anyone know if anywhere in the vicinity of your town centre will have it on?

Cheers. Someone on another forum has mentioned the Assembly and a couple of pubs on Prescot Road, but I'd prefer to stick to town so Assembly and Sefton are preferable so far. I'll ring round them all on Saturday morning before I go and check if they'll have it on.

Can anyone recommend a Pub that sells Real Ale? I am being dropped off by the 'George Hotel'

The Phoenix. 6 Real ales on. Turks Head is in opposite direction to the ground but has 12 Real ales on. Or if you're not fussy there's always the Glass house which is a Wetherspoons.

Do they show the 3pm games on the foreign channels though, or just the Sky/ESPN games? I've been told the Eccleston Arms on Prescot Road will defo show it but it would be better to just stay in town really.

The Hare and Hounds on Eccleston Street might have it on.

By the way The Assembly has been called The Counting House for a good few years now !

To be fair, the Turks Head is the best pub in town for real ale. Just slightly too far away for matchday drinking.

I reckon the Eccleston Arms is gonna be the safest bet anyway. I was told on a Liverpool forum from lads who I assume have watched matches in there it will be on and it should only be about a 20 minute walk from that part of Prescot Road to the ground so not too far away really.
