LIVERPOOL U19s will now contest their NextGen Semi-Final against Ajax on March 14 at Langtree Park in St Helens.

Kick-off will be 7pm.

The game was originally set to be played at Anfield.

Tickets are available from the Anfield ticket office from Monday and from the St Helens ticket office on 01744 455050 .

You will also be able to pay at the turnstile.

Tickets are £5 for adults and £2 for concessions.

I wonder if Liverpool Reserves may want to start using our facilities?

Being serious though, I think Saints need to be commercially aware and if that means generating revenue from Liverpool or Everton Reserves, or even local concerts etc. then we may have to embrace it.

Everton seem settled at Widnes, Liverpool Reserves have played at Knowsley Road before I think? they certainly played at the HJ for a bit.

A great move on all fronts. I'd be delighted to see more Liverpool teams making regular use of the facilities. Keeping the Everton hoi polloi out would be an equally good move

Damn shame Saints are allowing soccer on the glorious pitch at Langtree. It'll be all cut up just in time for the Hull match on Friday.

As an Everton as well as Saints season ticket holder,the last thing i want to see on our Langtree Park pitch is that awful lot from the wrong side of Stanley Park.

It couldn't get much worse, Saints and Liverpool. Just add Rangers and it's the devil incarnate.

They did and our pitch was battered because of it. Our pitch took a fair beating from the summer RL, but with the football reserves playing on it every week during the winter, it was ruined quite quickly. Unless you're getting an iPitch, I'd probably say no to a side playing weekly on your pitch on top of the RL.

Just as I predicted some weeks back! no room for St Helens Town even after taking the sale of Houghton Road monies off them, but so quick to take the silver shilling from Liverpool! or any other soccer club that comes along.

the only reason the game is being played at saints is because we play the blue shiiite the night before and we also have another 2 home games in quick succession. LFC didnt want the pitch being over used.
obviously someone has gone to saints and saints have quickly agreed, i would assume some financial reward is payable to saints.
also the game is being shown live on ESPN i think it is.good advertising for the saints and langtree park.
i wouldnt agree to regular football being played at saints, but the occasional match wouldnt do any harm and if its televised all the better for saints.

There is a bit of difference between a club that can bring a few thousand to a club that can bring 100 people who could fit on the local park.
