Whilst I am proud of the effort tonight, there were several moments of pure stupidity from us tonight. It was a game where close range tries or penalties were going to win it and yet we had no respect at all for possession or position. The few times we got into their 10m the plays were utterly pathetic, we put them under no pressure at all. Roby, Wellens, Lomax in particular were guilty. Whenever we got them backpeddling we just capitulated, trying to force impossible passes or putting the runners under so much pressure that knock ons were forced. And what was the big idea with kicking on the 3rd tackle when camped on their line?

If we're going to get anything but two hammerings over the next couple of weeks we need to show some composure at key times.

Personally I think the conditions played a big part. We werent our fluent selves and we escaped with a draw. Ill take that and move on too Wigan at home next week.

We played well 1st half and should've had more reward in terms of points. The Eastmond try was dubious and we were close on a few ocassions too. 2nd half we were terrible though. Our completion rate was absolutely dire and it was only errors from Bradford and determined defence that kept us in the game.

Definite penalty at the end though to gain a point and Wilkin gave a fantastic performance for me.

I totally agree. I thought Roby, Wellens, Lomax and Foster all had poor games today and their errors cost us. Perry's loss of ball cost us too. And I think LMS cost us at one point also.

I am. Roby did not scoot today. He should have done. He persisted with passing the ball out instead of making metres forward. He is supposed to be our director of operations. You don't want a director directing the team in the wrong way. Take the ball up, push forward, pass on, push forward ... just like Bradford were doing. It was fecking lashing it down. You don't go passing the ball out wide when it's lashing it down! Not until the try line beckons anyway. Dumb play. Along with that blind side thing he does every time. If he just varied it sometimes that would be good but it was every time, just when we need to use every ploy in the book to get some field position, he does the same old thing and Bradford have their whole team waiting. It really frustrated me today because today we needed to play to the conditions and we didn't. Roby had as much a part to play in that as anyone else.

His kick down field was good though.

Ever thought his broken face may have something to do with him not smashing it up all the time?

Yes he usually scoots more and yes we could of done with it. But there was nobody else to play hooker and Roby has a smashed up face. Cut him some slack, it was a miracle he even put a kit on.

Theres a time to scoot and thats when either the markers are not set or the defence is on the backfoot, that didnt happen tonight as the forwards couldnt get a quick play of the ball, couple that with his face and its not really a surprise he didnt scoot a lot.Diskin on the otherhand took advantage of our switching off at marker and made the most of it.

It shouldn't have. The doc said it would take the same kind of impact to damage it further.

I don't cut him slack because if he is passed fit to play then he should play, same as everyone else. All the lads who backed up played out of their skins, especially Wilkin who was our best player by a mile.

Think you need to give Roby some slack, maybe he wanted or was instructed to avoid too much physical stuff due to the facial injury. Hopefully it will be business as usual this Friday now he has 5 more days for the fracture to heal.

If that was the case, he shouldn't have been on the field.

Don't know what game you was watching but Roby took in as much ball as anyone.

I haven't said anything about him taking in the ball. I wasn't doubting his work rate. I never would do that as he always puts in 100%. It was what he did with the ball, that is what I was questioning. He didn't take it forward, he passed it out every time. Just as he ran on the blind side of the scrum every time. Predicable or what? But, he assisted in two tries and his kick down field was superb. However, like everyone else, he can't always play to the top of his game and I just happen to think that today was one of those games for him.

Jon Wilkin, however, was outstanding.
