If Saints could find a replacement, I would get rid of Potter soon as possible.
Saints have never looked the same class as they where under DA.
There are still top quality players at the club, most of which are underperforming, and look clueless at times.

The longer Slick Mick stays at Saints the more harm he will do to the careers of players like Eastmond and Wheeler.

Sean Long, one of the most experienced and tactically astute players in our history, said it all last season when he said, "I've got no idea if I'm coming or going at times tactically".

I just struggle to get my head around why he was given the job in the first place, it's not he'd done enough to warrant it and it's not like he really wanted it either.

I have no problem with Potter being boring etc, as Anderson wasn't the most exciting person, however his tactics are very predictable. Last night, on pretty much every play all we did was give it first receiver and he would give it either inside or outside to a forward to drive it in, thats whats boring and it clearly didn't work as Hull got 3 and 4 in the tackle every time. The odd occasion we did try something different we looked dangerous, for example right on half time with the kick out wide. Potters tactics are those of what he had at Catalan but they had the forwards to do it, we don't. Not good enough.

I was one of the very few who stuck up for potter last year, but last week was the final nail for me. We not scored over 15 points since july 2009! IMO that is unreal from any saints team.

Why is there no option to extend his contract?

Because only the fans of every other team would vote for that

He's gotta go NOW! We could replace him internally in the short term. I dont care if he's boring as a person but I do care that the Rugby and tactics he employs are.

Two that I can think of: Fear the Vee and Billinge Lump. But I'm sure there are more somewhere. They're just scared to come out of the closet.

Fozzy's comments are spot on IMO.

I never take players' comments too seriously, they are hardly going to slate their boss are they.

I have lost count, the number of times you hear -

"He's the best coach ive had"
"Training's brilliant"
"We get free pringles if we do 5 drives and a kick, once we pop we cant stop"

You hear it everytime their is a new manager or coach in football or rugby, load of balls.
