Why don't the staff at the Saints shop do their stocktaking AFTER the shop shuts at its normal hours instead of shutting early so when people like me who have travelled over a bloody hour to get there to pick my shirt up, can't.

Five of us turned up at 4.10pm to buy the shop out only to be turned away. My three kids are still asking now why the shop wouldn't let us in.

I must be REALLY lucky when it comes to Saints store. I never have problems.

Part of me thinks this is another in a long line of justified complaints against the club shop and frankly apart from the dramatic improvements in the ranges available when we opened the first shop in town there has never been a noticable change in approach from the shops, which for me is a management issue.

The other part of me thinks if I worked in the shop on a retail wage and you are asked to work out of hours for no extra , with no consequence of not doing it then why would you?

Neither of the shops now have good footfall, you make an effort to go which means that in the main you will be buying.

At this time of the year when shirts have just been released and the first game next week you would expect the shop to keep to its stated opening hours to generate cashflow.

For me the club shopping experience like a few other things are on the back burner until we move and this is in some ways understandable with the resources we have.

But anything associated with the saints club needs careful management especially where there is direct contact with the fans and not just relying on the goodwill and support of the fans to keep the club going forward.

some things never change, and never will. As long as I can remember, Saints have been badly organised and managed, and have always treated their customers like an inconvenience - not just in the club shop but across most public facing parts of the business.

Luckily, there is a core support of people who put up with it - I just wonder what our support would be like if the fans were treated like customers, rather than mugs.

If they carry on with this amateur customer service attitude when they get the new stadium they will be dooming it to never reach anywhere near the potential it could. Most supporters you talk to have some tale of poor customer service they can recount. Some things maybe trivial some things major but all n' all amateur.

I have good and bad experiences at both shops, think the stuff is mostly crap the retro shirts are ok.

Bit daft to say you open until 5pm, or whatever time it is, then one day do a stock take so the shop is out of action for purchases. Sort that out saints, surley you can pay the staff a bit of overtime to do it "after 5pm".... Maybe they only do this at the shop at the ground, and wouldnt dream of doing this in the town centre shop ?

No doubt when you pop in and have a moan, they will give you a free car sticker as a "sorry", thats the kind of club we are ! Arent we Eamon
