Can you please pay tribute to the one and only Sean Long a True Saints Legend and if i had to label him with one word "Entertainer!"

He has given us great times in the Red Vee but for me my favourite Sean Long piece of Magic was the Touch Line Goal Kick against Bradford.

I have to admit that he is one of the best english 7's in my lifetime. Second only to Andy Gregory IMO! He will be a sad loss to you guys, and I wish him well at Hull (pity we didnt manage to get him!)

Lance Todd Legend!

Possibly my favourite Saints player of all time and the fact he will never pull on the Red vee again is quite gut wrenching.

So many memories of Longy - 99 Grand Final as you mentioned, 2002 Grand Final drop goal, the drops goals against Warrington three times, his performance at Cardiff in 04. I could go on and on.

You will be sadly missed Sean, thanks for all the memories!

the haircuts so many haircuts, or the time he slid under the sticks and dropped the ball laughed at that for ages...really

watch sean and tommy play togther is how a true 6 and 7 partnership should work you could tell that they loved playing the game esp with the extra freedom under millward.

best moment was the dropgoal against warrington (millwards last game) just the checky smile that said we could of won 40 min ago but we wanted to do it in the last few seconds

Sean Long joining Saints was the same time as I began to follow the RedVee as Im still rather young so I can say I've grown up with Longy during his time at Saints... My memories of Sean will have to be

- The audacious cross-field kick leading up to "Wide to West"
- Wearing of Bernards head V Bradford
- Numerous winning drop-goals against Warrington
- Stripping down to his wife's underwear at a home-coming
- Cardiff 04
- The Hair (Says it all)
- 2002 GF Winning Drop Goal which landed in the Row behind me!
- That kick from touch against Bradford in the GF

and many many more to list but I'd probably crash the system... the above are the most memorable to me anyway.

I've grew up watching Sean long, and I am
gutted that he is leaving. all the memories that have been mentioned and many more.

I could repeat many things that have already been said on here, but when we played Warrington last year at home, and he went to drop that goal. He seemed to stop, look round and say "Watch. I will do it again just to show you it was no fluke two years ago", then drop the goal.

With Longy, I always expected the unexpected.

Never a dull moment with Longy! Just look at his autobiography, how many books have caused so much controversy?!?

At the end of the day, every time he has pulled on the Saints shirt, he has gave his all. Even though at times hes done silly things, like when he dove under the sticks against Bradford and dropped the ball, cost us the game IIRC. You simple couldn't give him any stick as you knew that somewhere along the line he would make up for it, and he did on numerous occasions. Bringing Sean to Saints was an absolute bargain, i'd even say he was the best signing of the Super League era, along with Scully. Still you do get the odd person thats slags him off, but there idiots IMO. Longy, has been fantastic for Saints from day one, and if i had my way he wouldn't be leaving next season.

Thanks Longy, you have been an absolute legend for this club.

Too many game moments to mention but one incident that made me laugh was when Longy put a kick through and followed it up, all he had to do was reclaim the ball and he would have scored but Leon came from nowhere and beat him to the ball and scored
