| What is happening to our KC mini-me? He has developed into a leading Super League hooker over the past couple of seasons and I'm sure he's contracted to us for next year isn't he? But will he be coming back to play for us or will his future depend on KC's decision with regards to extending his reign for one more season?

Im not sure how true this is but Ive heard of a friend of mine that KC has promised Scott Moore he is retiring at the end of the season so Moore can take his place but according to this source Moore is happy at Huddersfield and wants to stay.

We need to bring him back. If we leave him another year we risk losing him imo. It might be possible to keep them both on but I guess it would depend on how the salary cap looks and how much we can pay KC - how does it work if someone is a player/coach? does all of their salary count?

Gotta say Moore does have to come back due to the fact as you rightly say we risk losing him and that would be criminal. Cunningham has been a world class player but no is the time we should really bring Moore back to replace him.

Criminal and costly - we would probably have to bring in a hooker from Aus to replace KC and that would cost us a quota spot and probably more cash than Moore.

| If KC decides to stay on for another year, then surely we could offer Moore another contract too, this means he is contracted to us longer than next year, and he could also stay on at Huddersfield for another season, is the rumour is right and hes happy there, then coming back to us after next season.

| Scott Moore is contracted to StHelens for next season. If anyone wanted to sign him then Saints would be entitled to a transfer fee.
Mick Potter has already gone on record this season stating that Scott will be back at StHelens regardless on whether KC plays on for another year.
I Imagine Roby would play loose forward for a season if that is the case.

And Scott has said he IS coming back to Saints next year. Saints arn't ever going to let a contracted England international go. KC will be 32/33 next year, Scott will be 22, its not rocket surgery as Barry Mc would say

I really hope they don't play Roby at loose forward. Hes far, far more effective as an impact hooker. I think it would just allow us to bed Scott Moore in, and give KC more rest time, because lets face it, hes getting on a bit now.

I doubt Scott Moore would be happy as a bit part player tbh. If we use KC as a bit part player then we need to pay him as a bit part player, no room for sentiment in modern sport

Agreed. There would be no point having 3 hookers on the books. I hate to say it but if Moore comes back Cunningham will be the one to leave.

| If Moore is to come back, then we will have to bite the bullet and release KC. Short term pain for long term gain, as the great Wayne Bennett says.

I think KC will realise this, he loves Saints more than his own career, and if we can get a trophy or two this year he can leave on a high!

And he's proved it over and over again that thats the right way to go. If I were KC I'd call it a day playing wise and try to get on the staff at Saints (I'm sure he'd be offered something).
