| I think that the main difference is that when we bring a player in (especially from abroad), he is a player that can do the job he's paid for, not just an aging old has-been looking for an end of career pay out. Also, when was the last time we signed a British player - we have a brilliant youth system and use it to it's full effect.

| To answer my own question re British signings:
Bryn Hargreaves - 2006
Leon Pryce - 2005
Sean Long - 1997
Lee Gilmour - 2003
Jon Wilkin - 2002
Ade Gardner - 2001
Can't find fault with the quality we have bought from within our own shores.

Tbh, Hargreaves will be being mentioned in the same bracket as those signings.
Frodsham is already better than him.

Is he balls. Hargreaves works his balls off, Frodsham has about as much impact on the game as the Asda bag that always ventures across after half time after Edna has eaten her sandwiches.

| Hargreaves isn't Saints standards if you ask me.
Froddy has a big hit, but he looks to struggle to keep up at times and gets lazy in defence.

| Le Frod will make it. When he gets bigger he's going to be difficult to stop because he runs it in hard. He's ahead of Hargreaves in the pecking order for me.

Agreed. Hargreaves is a useful stand in, but he seems to bottle it before reaching the defensive line, probably because he isn't powerful enough. I hope he proves me wrong because he has a great attitude.
I thought Maurie had his best game in a while, the stint towards the end of the game saw him going back to his aggresive style of running without losing his temper at the play the ball.

Cheers.
He's a player I've tried to keep my eye on, and looks a good prospect.
