We've no chance of a Wembley appearance if we come up against Warrington/Wigan or hudds.
I've come to terms that we are no longer a top 3 side. I can't see anyway we can beat Warrington, Wigan or hudds. Maybe in a one off game but to win cups and with the play off system we'd prob have to beat two of them to reach old Trafford.
I don't think we will make Wembley and not got a chance in hell of a ok'd Trafford appearance.

We've lost to Warrington twice by 7 points (and lest be honest it had to happen eventually) we could've beat Wigan twice and once we were poor, we lost to Hudds with literally half a team I think your writing them off a bit too soon. |

Still haven't given up on a trophy. Maybe hopelessly optimistic, but I haven't.
We have some top performances in us, and a squad capable of silverware, we just need Simmons to be able to bring them out.

We,ve only been mullered in 2 games, Wigan and Huddersfield. The other losses have been giving the opposition 18 + starts. Starting on the front foot and get our completion rates up we will be match for any team. The challenge cup by beating Wigan or Warrington in the semi final might be the way achieve a cup win. |

You've basically hit the nail on the head with my point. We lack anyone that can win us a close game at the moment. We are playing with two young halfbacks that have done a truly fantastic job but when we come up against the big 3 the fall short at the moment. Like I said in a other thread, we either stick with lomax and Gaskell and give them time but expect not to win cups for next few years or we get a good quality halfback in that makes things happen and controls the game.
It's just my opinion but I don't think this current side is good enough to win cups this year with the current team. I also think next years team will struggle to make the top 4 with the loss of Graham (best prop in super league and the expected departure of flannery, Pryce and ade.
I hope I'm wrong but that's how i see it. |
