as we need a) a kicker, b) a centre, c)anyone who can play rugby for quins, how is this lad doing, i hear he can kick a goal blind folded, but how's the rest of his game and is he fit and/or ready for the first team?

This lad needs to be fitted in somewhere either fullback or wing and alter the squad accordingly?

If Meli, wheeler, Wellens, roby are out i would draft in ellis at 6, eastmond (if fit) at 7, pryce at 1, wilkin as interchange hooker and Foster on meli's wing outside gilly. But i don't make the decisions

......As long as he is up to the rigours of first team rugby. It's no use him kicking 100% at one end and being at fault for 8/12 points at the other end just so that we have a kicker.

Hopefully Eastmond will be back anyway.

Any prospect of Gardner to 1 and Foster to wing? Or do we reckon Foster will slot in at 1?

I don't think we should move Pryce to fullback, we're toothless enough in the halves as it is and he and Eastmond (touch wood) need to build on their understanding.

Its a fair point but it's nice to have some experience at fullback. I'm glad i don't have to make these decisions

Sink or swim time methinks! Quins are pretty ravaged by injuries too so might be a good game to drop him in.

He's playing full back a bit now (depending on whether Lomax/Dean are available for the reserves). Two years ago I suppose he was playing centre, so for Wello read Gidley/Talau. Same point applies.

He's a slight lad and is a year behind Wheeler - every year makes a massive difference at that age and just because he hasn't broken into the first team yet doesn't mean he's disappeared.

The vast majority of Foster's appearances in the reserves have still been at centre though. I still think that's where he'll come through, if he's good enough.

Appreciate that, just thinking in terms of finding a full back for Saturday!
