Leon Pryce yet again goes missing in a big game, little Kyle Eastmond is simply running the show from Centre.................= A big coaching decision.............I know why don't we move Eastmond infield to stand off and put Pryce at Centre........Simple..........no not with our useless boring coach, lets just leave it as is!!!!!!!! any thoughts?

I would have made the choice with 15 minutes to go.

Potter does have a huge question mark over his head but it was always going to be difficult for any coach who took over the mantle this year.

Time will tell you have to give him an off season to get things right, free flowing rugby of the saints tradition would be nice.

It's not that simple. Is Pryce going missing because he cant be d ? Isnt getting the ball in the right places? Is not happy with the roll he is being asked to play by Potter? alot of questions to be answered. I like the idea of Pryce at centre but who do we get in the halves next year Wheeler and Eastmond????

I thought Pryce tried to take us foward in the same manner than Wellens does with taking the ball up at first receiver. Problem was we were very slow at getting the ball our wide which is something Eastmond's introduction to half back can change next year. By the time Pyrce et al were getting the ball out wide Leeds were pretty much on top of us. The general speed of passing in the British game has always been miles slower than in the NRL. If Pryce was getting NRL service he'd be terrific. He isn't getting it though.

Scott Moore next season should give us more width with his passing. Thereby allowing Pryce to stand wider.

I don't think we've had a decent passing hooker in the British game since Martin Dermott.
We've become obsessed with "scooters" from dummy half and as such that passing skill has all but gone.

Saints best move last night came from a long ball from Roby which gave Gidley some space to feed Gardner who was just short (the Webb knees incident). It's amazing what quick service from dummy half can do.

The Chair has a valid point Scott Moores passing from Dummy Half has been excellent all season.

It's not just at hooker though. I haven't seen any British half backs that have a speedy passing game. Arguably the best passing British half back of the modern era, Andy Gregory, had to wheel around to pass to the right and even on his good side I wouldn't say his passes had a great deal of zip compared to our NRL counterparts.

I've been saying this for the last few weeks.

I'd move Kyle to stand off for last 10 mins of 1st half and for last 15mins of 2nd half.

When there forwards was getting little tired and looking for a rest is when Kyle should have been moved infield.

I would have Moore/Wheeler/Eastmond operating at half backs, move Pryce to Full Back, move Wellens to Loose Forward.

I would move Pryce to left outside......permanently

I haven't had the stomach to watch the game again, but on at least four occasions Flannery had the chance to release Gidley one on one against Burrow, and each time he kept taking it in himself. This is something he needs to look at, there is no point having a brilliant centre if he is starved of useful possession.
