| Ok when we are at full tilt with the return of Wello and Wheeler i'd like to see is line up like this..
Pryce
Gardner
Gidley
Wheeler
Meli
Wilkin
Eastmond
Puletua
Cunningham
Graham
Flannery
Clough
Wellens
Roby
Hargreaves
Fa'asavalu
Moore
Pryce at full back is getting better and as the tracks firm up he could have a field day with some of the weak SL defences. Wheeler comes straight back in for Dean at left centre and i reckon Wilko is looking pretty decent at six. Therefore for mine Wellens should be finally used at 13 or second row and can rotate the position with Moore/Clough etc..
Or alternatively:
Fozzard
Cunningham
Graham
Flannery
Wellens
Puletua

| Personally, I don't think that Wilkin is a stand off as long as he's got a hole in his backside.

He's got all the attributes took Leeds to the cleaners last year when controlling the game from this position.

I have hope... Because I have faith in Saints: |
|
| I personally don't want to see Pryce at full back. Wello adds to our goal line defence, that's no discredit to Pryce as he's done a very good job, however his attacking capabilities are better at 6 than 1.

once.
He is a talented backrower, nothing more. Wello at 1, Pryce at 6, for this season at least

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.

Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
Everybody mentions this game when trying to pigeonhole Wilkin as a standoff. Has been poor In every other game at s/o imo.
If I was going to move Pryce to full back(i don't, him and Kyle are gelling well) Id put Wheeler at s/o and Dean/Armstrong at .

Agree with the Don. Wilkin has played at SO a number of times and has stunk
on every occasion except the Leeds game last season.
You can't live off one game forever. Wilkin is a backrow forward
who can play a bit.
Wellens future at Saints is at LF , Pryce suits FB better than SO.
However once Wellens is fit it will be back to the usual Wellens 1 , Pryce 6.
Next season may see some structural changes but this season any changes
are temporary I suspect.

| I don't mind Pryce as a (very) short term sticking plaster over full back. But that's it. There is little point in splitting up a half-back partnership that has only just started bearing fruit in favour of another new combination.
Pryce & Eastmond compliment each other well. Let's keep them together where they will do the most damage collectively.

| Pryce is proving a very capable deputy at FB.
However you have to think about strongest possible lineup, and at present thats Wello fb Wheeler centre and Pryce standoff.
Wilikin is a skillful footballer at standoff but i think the team loses something with him there. I also think we tend to be very left sided with him in the halves.

| Pryce is out and out better than Wellens at fullback and it isn't hampering his combination with Kyle at all. It's clear we need either a new fullback or a new stand off. Wello isn't good enough anymore.

At Fullback. Agreed.
The perpetual motion , defence and experience would go very well at LF.
On a reduced contract for next season would offset the loss of
Flannery in the Backrow.

| Pryce was playing very well at 6 before Wello got injured and building a combination with Kyle.
Wellens is our full back, Pryce is our 6.
If Pryce had been playing stand off against Wigan instead of Wilkin, we would have won the game IMO. Until we have a strike centre that can free Wheeler up to play 6, we are better off with Wello at 1 and Pryce at 6.

Got to diagree with this. Wello's positional sense and one on one tackling are better than Pryce. He's not as fast but his positional sense makes up for almost all of that.
However I think Pryce at FB seriously hampers our attack as he's not involved anything like as much when he's at full back and he needs as much time as possible alongisde Eastmond to really build that partnership.

Completely agree. I'm liking Pryce at full back but we haven't got a ready made replacement for us at stand off as the next options are too inexperienced.
