| The game could have gone either way, and Saints did us all proud; it was a mammoth effort. Territorially we dominated but the lack of attacking edge meant we couldn't make it pay. Our last tackle options weren't good enough, we didn't build enough pressure and that's what kept it a close game. It has been a flaw all season.
Then we have the mistake from Meli, and the soft try from dummy half.
Fair play to Leeds for sticking in it and taking their chances.

Absolute quality. I've seen some unconvincing trolling in my time, but that just takes the biscuit.

| As a Warriors fan I would like to congratulate Saints on playing their part in a thrilling Grand Final this evening, thought the game could have gone either way.
Hope Eastmond stays in RL because he looks like a superb talent for the future, have to admit though I was shocked by Pryce's poor showing I didn't even know he'd played until he was mentioned at the end of the game.

| I thought it was a very good game for the neutral (not that you can be neutral when you come from Wigan), but was spoiled by the worst video ref decision I've ever seen.
With 1 point in it, it was anyones game but that decision just killed the game.
I thought Saints defence was excellent but in attack they lacked that spark that Saints have always had in the past. Saints looked to be making more yards with their sets than Leeds and it looked odds on that they would pop a drop goal over to level things up.
Too many errors gave Leeds easy field position which untimately led to the try/no try which killed off the game.
Leeds probably just about deserved the win but it was much closer than the score suggests.

That's pretty much it for me. Leeds' kicking game coupled with a handful of basic errors was enough to win last night. In the past you could get away with the odd mistake but now you can't. Mistakes cost you games now more than at any other time in the past. Not even the best can get away with mistakes now. We've finally caught up with what the NRL was ten years ago. Now we need to have it so that mistakes cost you at every level of the competition and not just at the highest level.

| Unlucky Saints. I thought it was a great final and two things swayed it Leeds way, their kicking game and that offside try that was given. You have my sympathy as it must be a bitter pill to swallow.

| hard luck saints, both sets of players played their part in a great game of rugby, reason you lost wasn't just the debatable final try it was down to a couple of errors which leeds pounced on. leeds just about deserved in the end, and I have to agree with others on here, sts seemed to have lost their sparkle, causw that wasn't sts at their best. think you need some new younger blood. Eastmond a star in waiting, not seen the best of him by a long wayicon_cool.gif

| Yes Hard Luck Saints.... Hard Luck my a.rse
You were just poor very poor.
Limited attacking options. Poor sorry Abysmal kicking game. No Plan B. No forward platform. Poor Half Back options. Poor decision making. No lead from the Coach.
In fact you were second best all round.
As the Russians Marines would say Toughski Shitski.

We did
No you didn't. You tonked us in 2007 but not in 2008 or 2009. You beat us by 8 points in both matches. And the score this time was lower than in 2008. So you haven't tonked us. Therefore, we couldn't have been as poor as you suggest unless, of course, you were not as good as you think you were.

Every Leeds fan I spoke to last night said the was nothing between the teams and the hasn't been anything between them for last few years.
Even sinfield said it after the game.
So fook off and be a prick somewhere else.
I thought the Leeds fans was pretty good last night and on your site they have been very kind in the comments of saints.
Every club has a prick but you lot have 2 in you and damo!

You are quite stupid, aren't you? Losing three on the bounce is embarrassing, for us Saints fans, but you did not tonk us this year or last. Had some of our players not had brainfarts last night, you might not have even won the flipping match, so thank your Yarkshire god for Meli, Gardner, Cunningham and Hargreaves!
