| Sorry if this is elsewhere but not seen it?
5,348 is the reported attendance for your game last night on both the BBC and Super League Websites?
Surely this is an error? 5k can't be right can it? I thought you had approx 8k ST holders? Can any who went confirm?

It is correct however unsurprising.
The conditions in St Helens were awful with many anticipating the game to be called off. It was nothing short of a blizzard and I'm amazed that we managed to get so many there. The expected attendance was around 11k which isn't bad at all against Salford, so a few people must have decided not to come on the day.

Surely there's some discrepancies in how attendances are being calculated in the league then as if you have say 8k ST holders, I thought these always got calculated in the attendance regardless of whether they attended.
I know Wigan certainly do this, which is why the widnes game tonight had only around 8k on IMO, yet 11,900 was given as the attendance?
I would have expected 8k+ as a minimum at saints declaring all their ST holders?

I don't know how Wigan do it but at Saints it's done by gate passes if I'm not mistaken, so it's the actual attendance on the night.
I must admit I was slightly dubious of the 11k attendance announced by Wigan tonight.

| Yes I thought it looked about 7-8k at Wigan! I was out in that great town this evening, can't say the snow was THAT bad once you're out of Billinge. Then again, was bloody freezing

| Warrington had the same bad snow conditions, but they still attracted 9,000 plus, did Saints get it wrong the number of changes to the time game on or off would be announced?

| I think if you close 2 stands or a stand you have to work out the attendance differently.
For example, with the stadium completely open you take the capacity minus the season ticket holders minus the tickets available on the day (the figure is the capacity minus season ticket holders).
If you close a stand then you can no longer start with the ground capacity and must count each entry on the day.
Once you are at full house, that's it, even if season ticket holders turn up, they are not allowed in. This has happened elsewhere in the past, I recall but can;t recall exactly where.

The conditions in Warrington were not the same. The roads were far worse in St Helens.

They give out 12,000,but if you go on their site most of the regulars reckon the actual figure was between 6 and 8,000.
Also haveing seen a picture of the Warrington game there was nowhere near the 9000 they give out.

| Well they are going to get taxed on whatever attendance they officially announce, it was always felt that some clubs played it the other way to pay Less Tax!

I'm only 3 miles from the Warrington ground and it was bad! what was the conditions like in Wigan then? the St Helens attendance was Poor! however bad it was, but I still feel when you keep putting the announcement back of when a game is on or off then it does put supporters off travelling!
