| Much as I'm tempted to come on here and gloat at your loss, I do have a serious point to make, as a Rugby League fan.
Eastmond. Great player. Huge prospect. Very promising.
And he was clearly in a lot of pain and struggling, from the moment he was scragged by Brown. Nothing wrong with a scrag, but Eastmond seemed to go over badly on his ankle, and his game suffered. He couldn't run, he struggled to tackle, he struggled to kick, he may as well have been off the pitch.
In fact, he SHOULD have been off the pitch.
In my view, if Potter DIDN'T try and sub him, or even just get him off the pitch when everything was hopeless and if you had no substitutions left, then he needs shooting! Eastmond could compound whatever injury he had and lose valuable development and even representative game time.
I would HATE to lose such a promising young player to injury just because a coach couldn't make the decision not to get him off.
If Eastmond refused to come off, then fine, but if Potter DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, then that is unacceptable, and I would understand if a few of you were very VERY pee'd off at him.
Hope he's ok. I guess I'll just be cheering for Warrington at Wembley. I mean, I would have been anyway, but it's made easier with them being the only Lancashire team left.

| Not an issue, they did try to take him off, but he waved the physio away just before a scrum in our 20.

| Even when they may as well not be on the field and you risk losing them for an extended period of time?
Even when all hope is lost?
I can't agree!

Ah, that changes everything. He'd be his own worst enemy if he has compounded any injury.
Ah, well. Still hope he isn't injured, though.

| Potter has definatley weakened saint helens, they imo loosing their invisible tag. It is only a matter of time before teams realise it an get a pair of balls like wakey did and take it to you. Potter also needs to come up with new plays as thanks to boots and all, who comment on your dummy runner plays everyone has sussed that play out now.
Just my opinion
Potter must go

Potter is doing a fine job under very trying circumstances. We have been hit with injuries and our play is bound to suffer.

| Behind a beaten pack halves almost always struggle. There's no shame in that. The truth is the league is becoming stronger and increasingly competitive. Which is no bad thing at all.

Is it?
I don't think the standards of Rugby League out on the field are anything like even 5-6 years ago, never mind the dominating Wigan years.
Whilst I agree it's competitive, I don't think we're producing the same quality.
The last 3 weeks have been very good, some of the best all season, but prior to that, I was actually finding some of the TV matches a bit stale.

| There was far less "quality" around five years ago. Sure, there might have been one or two more names, but I can run off a list of thirty excellent prospects emerging in SL at this moment. I certainly could NOT do that five years ago.

| although some of you may disagree...saints played their best rugby when millward was the coach..he used to get involved as well,..l sitting in the stand cheering them on..the only downfall was they used to let more points in..but ended up scoring more points than the opposition.their rugby in attack had much more flair and was far more entertaining than this lot is playing now.now it seems to be one man rugby up the middle.they hadn't got a clue yesterday when they got in huddersfields 20 meter area...as the season comes to a close im having my doubts about potter..and if it carries on we will end up at wigans standards..good luck to hudds they defended well and deserve their day of glory.
