| Quote St pete="St pete"I've been critical of Ryan Morgan this year and tonight just confirms that he is poor. He's petrified of taking the ball in unless in open space. Getting caught by Flash is just embarrassing.
As I predicted last year about LMS. Soon as he gets his new contract we won't see him again. He's had 2 good seasons at Saints and both in his last year of his contract'"
Agree about the pace but it would help if they gave him the ball a little more when in good positions

| Great win by salford Tasi was well up for it set about saints from the off. Flanagan class and Dobson and Lui are in great form.
Smith isn't a great player salford fans don't miss him one bit I'd have sneyd back over him all day.

Smith is garbage. He has a decent long kick along the ground, which works especially in the wet. But everything else is hype. Waving your hands frantically at every play the ball & shouting hysterically does not a good scrum half make. Watch the likes of Thurston, they know where to be at each tackle, & the team know what is happening, without barely a word. His idea of attacking of the line is to run an exaggerated 3 steps then throw out an exaggerated pass. Salford had 5 half backs playing last night who I would pick before Smith. Wigan must be pi ssing themselves at off-loading him. It's no coincidence how much Williams has matured in Smith's absence.

What about his defence though, it was embarrassing. He couldn't handle Josh Jones.

From first time I seen him in a saints shirt, I knew he didn't want to be here. It's so obvious it's unreal.

I have never seen anyone look so consistently miserable while on the pitch for us. He doesn't even smile when he scores tries. The bloke looks like he's hating every single second of his time here, and it shows in his play, too.
If he hates it as much as he appears to, then surely we can come to an agreement re: the contract to have it terminated by mutual consent, and he can go back to Oz, while we use the cash to get someone who actually wants to play for us?

| I assumed Morgan was some average Joe signed from Rochdale or Welsh RU. Was staggered to hear he was ex-NRL on a 3-year deal.

Some people on here claimed he was a great signing with speed and footwork. For those of us that actually watched him last season banged our heads against the wall when the signing was announced

You'd have to say that Turner offered more than Morgan, as it currently stands. Turner wasn't a bad centre - particularly in attack. It was just Cunningham's bizarre insistence on playing him out of position at stand-off which screwed him in the fans' eyes.
It's still early days for Morgan, but someone needs to slap him around a bit. He either bucks up, or ships out.
