| He has good skill in attack, but without the athleticism behind it to be dangerous at Super League level - his footwork is good, as is his passing and vision, but he'll not quite be fast or strong enough to make a break on the back of that. His support play is really good, probably one of his strongest features. He's played some stand off too so expect him to be vocal in attack too.
Defensively he's very mixed. His organisation of the defensive line from fullback was very strong, and his positioning was generally good. From what I remember he was pretty solid with kicks too. However, he's a very poor one-on-one tackler. There was an argument that when he was playing for Saints, he had an injury which may have had an impact on this, but I've not seen enough of him elsewhere to comment on that. In 2015, he missed 19 of 63 tackle attempts (30%). For comparison, Cockayne missed 18% this year.
He'll look good at Championship level and would probably look okay enough for a bottom 4 Super League team too. He's solid in most aspects of the game and your centres and wingers should get a few tries out of him too. His tackling is very weak but this may have improved since 2015 with another year of coaching, but if not, it's still worth it IMO for what he should offer at Championship/middle 8s level.

| He was probably one of the worse defensive full backs we,ve had at the club, just didn't, have the physicality to bring a player to ground especially one on one.
On a positive note he was pretty good on support play and spotting a gap. In a tight tough forward game he would have very little impact and opposition forwards would see him as a "walkover".

| Basically too small. About the size of Rob Burrow. Can get away with that if you offer great skill or amazing pace, but he doesn't. Should be fine in the championship.

| If I'm being totally honest he's not good enough for super league.
His kick returns are up there with the worst I've ever seen, he's far to small and weak and never gets you on the front foot from kick returns.
His defence is the worst I've seen from a pro fullback. Hardly makes a tackle if someone makes a break.
He's got high skill level with his hands tho, takes some great catches that others wouid drop. It's like he has glue on his hands.
His support play is second to none. And I'd put money on hin finishing leading try scorer if you have a good year.
He will go well in championship imo.

| I'm suprised at some of the responses tbh.
He'll do alright at Hull KR but nowhere near good enough for even a top 8 SL side IMO. To play full back for one of the top clubs you need to have footwork, vision and the ability to find the right pass when it counts. Quinlan was a decent support player but had no ball playing ability and made us incredibly easy to defend against - defences knew he wasn't going to fix any defenders and simply just slid across. Quinlan, Owens, Dawson, Peyroux, McDonnell; they're all the same. I'm hoping that Morgan is a huge improvement because for all the effort those lads put in, they are/were the reason why we have had to play so centrally for two years. Thankfully only two of them remain and wont start for us this season baring injuries.
