Can you imagine a few months ago, one of our key players confirming that they had signed for Wigan next season? Saints fans would have gone ballistic, likewise, Wigan fans would have done about Smith and questioned his commitment.

KC did what he had to do to try and put the media off the scent.

I'm sure he wouldn't sign cheap backup players for positions that had quality coming through from the youth ranks, right now. KC has brought players in from the youth team.

Were currently 5 in 12 out, basic maths suggests the kids will get more of a chance!

Of course we might suggest that the wrong kids are getting a chance, but thats a whole other discussion!

Might I suggest that those three know a little bit about both leadership and playing hooker? He has been signed to give James Roby a breather not to build your team around. He may turn out to be a decent buy.

Agree here. Ive always seen lee as solid and dependable. Wouldnt be surprised through the seaon to see Saints fans saying what a surprise etc. To be fair his signing gives them a proven super league player to properly spell Roby in my eyes rather than putting people like Knowles in there

I hope he does prove a lot of people wrong, but I also don't think it's a surprise that we're his 7th club in seven years. Wouldn't surprise me at all if there is an 8th next year either. He's not a good player, he's probably not even a Super League level player. But he's probably very cheap.
