With all the injuries and players covering positions, losing a back and having to do without would have been critical. The forward interchanges were perfect anyway and possibly win us the game, Savelio was fresh in the second half and smashed them to pieces, the forwards really got on top in the last 30 minutes.

Great call by the coaching staff in my opinion. I don't agree with it with a fully fit squad, but it was the right thing in the circumstances.

i think he was waiting to see how Dawson got on with the bombs on the wing. Fleming looks more solid under the high ball to me. As it happened he didn't really have to deal with anything so there was no need to shuffle the backs.

Charnock had flu. That's why he wasn't on the bench.

If we have some players who are 50/50 in the back line then we needed a back on the bench. No point throwing him on for no reason just to justify his selection.

We really need some more flexible players like Josh Jones so we can move some forwards into the backline in future. Having LMS at centre just doesn't cut it.
