His agent got him the best deal possible which Agents are supposed to do. Given the abuse Eastmond got from the St Helens fans (which at times was down right disgusting) purely for looking after himself and his family, I wouldn't blame him for never stepping foot in rugby league again

The fans did what they were supposed to do, they looked after their own and made sure that if Eastmond was going to leave he would probably never set foot in RL again. They in addition made sure that other players also knew that mercenary behavior would be reacted to unfavorably. And so others would not be so keen to act in the same way in future.

Saints treated him very well until Eastmond showed disloyalty and misconduct, its the first time I,ve ever seen a saints player gesture to his fans and show so much disinterest to his fellow team mates in match play.
Eastmond player nearly 80 games for Saints in his 4 years introductory, in 3 years he has played 23 games for Bath and is anonymous over long periods. So you are correct in saying he is looking after himself..............money for nothing.......is the best descript.

At the end of the day it's his job. It's a short career and need to get what you can. It's sad but it's a fact. It's not just a game to players but it's a job.

Kyle made the decision most of us would, he's not a St.Helens lad so has no real ties to the town. I'd have made the same choice, but the way it was handled could have been better. A statement or two on how he loved the club and the fans but couldnt turn down this opportunity etc would have placated the masses

He was wrong to show the fingers to the fans and that basically was the end of him at saints no matter what but was the fans right to get on his back for him wanting to go?

fans will always do that, like i said, if he'd have issued a statement saying he loved saints and the fans, but want to try something else etc there'd have been nearly no animosity

He was only a young lad, his advisors or his idiot agent should have done that and protected him better.

Shame really as IMO he was the best kid we'd produced in a long time
