At least it's turned out Luke only broke the fibula rather than the tibula as well as can happen in those situations, that would have been a serious length of time out of the game.

Good news about Walsh, hopefully, with a return date due in the off season, there's no need to rush and take any sort of risk.

I don't think he will move Wellens from 1 unless he is going to play in the halves. I think we have enough forwards without having to put Wellens there. Wilkin didn't play last week and he didn't use Wellens there so i don't see why he would do it this week.

I may be wrong but I can't see McDonnell playing this week unless he goes with a back off the bench as a different option.

You're right about it still looking like a fairly strong 17, despite the absence of 4 key players.

Brown made the comment re.McDonnell last Friday and since then has obviously trained with Turner and Wheeler at 6 and 7 and then yesterday said that he will be going with those two.

Turner is just utterly useless at 6. Wello is worse than useless there too.

Do we seriously not have anyone in the academy who could do that role? Charnock looked physically up to it 12 months ago when he did fine against Salford in the snow. Could he not play?

A couple of people on the other forum have said that there are salary cap ramifications to playing some of the younger players. They have said that certain appearances would trigger bonuses that could take us above the cap. Strange but true apparently.

If Charnock doesnt play I have no idea where we are going to magic up a kicking game
