My mate is the same. I think he said his first match was the 2006 grand final.'"
Christ. Talk about downhill.
I was quite lucky. I started watching in '93, after Dux had been to the premiership final and was raving about Saints.
That meant I started watching as Eric Hughes took over - who never beat Wigan. A couple of years being denied success by your derby rivals meant 96 was sweet for me (sweeter for the longer term fans) and I've been privlaged to see some great times.
Not everyone who's worn the red vee in that time has been a world beater, but there have been plenty of squad men who (you'd like to think) would never roll over and have their belly tickled in the same manner as we've been seeing - Andy Northey, Chris Morley, Adam Fogerty, Jason Hooper, Nick Fozzard, Vila & Sonny, Bernard Dwyer and Brett Goldspink all spring to mind.
God, I used to think Foggy was e, but I'd have him back right now.
