the tackle was right in front of us and believe me Lomax`s head hit the ground at the same time as his shoulder and then Ferres landed on his head with his body, all this talk about Lomax jumping is ridiculous and Ferres followed through when he could have stopped and lowered Lomax at any time, but didnt and looking at the previous he has with the disciplinary over the same tackling technique the lad obviously hasnt learned anything and if he carries on he WILL seriously injure someone

It may be worth pointing out that the ban for the McKinnon tackle wasn't just 7 matches on the tackle alone.
In Australia they have a 'points' system whereby the tackle will be awarded a certain number of points looking at different factors, for each 100 points a one game ban is given.
The tackler in the McKinnon case was given 325 points for the tackle but then a further 400 points for the injury resulting in a 7 game ban.
