| As a Saints fan, Makinson's meant a lot in the context of the game, but Escare's is by far the better of the two, especially when you note he started it and then still backed up eighty yards.

| As enjoyable as it was to watch, Escare's was pretty much just a lot of support play.
One of the biggest things to appreciate about Makinson's was Hohaia's original decision to chip.
We're drawing the game, they've already signalled their intent to look for the drop goal, we're around the half way line and [ishould[/ihave been doing the sensible thing of kicking deep to keep them away from our line and drop goal territory.
Following that brave decision, we then got a pin point chip over and an awesome catch and kick from Lomax for Makinson to win the game.

| Escare's try should have won it in my opinion. Our game is based on handling skills rather than kicking.

| Context always come to play with these type of things.
Think about one of the most remembered goals in football history - Beckham's free kick against Greece. It's the context that makes things special.
