Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "Oh absolutely we need to be a lot better than against Catalans. But last season our defence saw us through several games that we didn't really have any right to win, and the defence was coached by Radford. Yes we have a few new personnel, but I don't think we have become a bad defensive team overnight.
The optimists way of looking at it is that in 70 minutes of rugby, despite the opposition having the majority of possession, we conceded 3 tries. One was from a perfect kick that is near impossible to defend, and the other two can be easily rectified by Lineham being told to be more aware of where his opposite winger is. The late tries I would put down to us putting the cue on the rack rather than defensive errors as such. Again this should be an easy lesson to learn.
As I said Saints are favourites for me, but don't expect an easy ride. I would be shocked and very disappointed if we conceded 40+ because all the emphasis in training this week will have been on defence.'"
Or looking at it another way we've conceded 20 trys in our last two competitive games (Giants / Catalan)
Radders will have worked hard on the defence but will be surprised if we can keep Saints below 30 points
