In all honesty I don't think sia's was that bad tbh, you see shots like that every week which I'm not condoning but stadler and Waldorf on sky were screaming blue murder along with Cummings. At worst it was a mis-timed hard hit from a player who plays the game hard. The Bowen one was late and should've copped a ban but that said with him being involved in the WCC that was never gonna happen, had we not have been playing Roosters I would have expected 1-2 matches. The other thing is the Superleague franchise are wanting us to turn the Aussies over for our game over here so to ban a top drawer player in the team representing our brand would be rugby suicide. But I do agree with everyone regarding the RFL setting there stall out and what's good for one is good for another. Anyway best game in the world, Rd1 for the rest of the league and look at the controversy already!!! Great win saints!!!

I don,t think the tackle was all that bad, if you slow the motion right down first point of contact is the top of chest and shoulder rising up to the neck region. Hopefully the disciplinary will see it that way and not be influenced by the overzealous commentary.

Walsh did well Fair do's. But he's a long way to go before he's in the same class as people like Matty Smith.

Had a fantastic time at the game last night. The atmosphere was class, the performance was better. It's been a long time since I've been stood in a crowd watching Saints and we've just had fun. We kept singing 'We're having a party at Wire away!' and it actually felt like it too!
Walsh was everything I'd hoped he'd be and Amor impressed me mightily as well. Was slightly disappointed that we didn't rack up the score that we deserved, but I feel that's because we got a little showboat-ey and tried to entertain, but hey, that's why I fell in love with Saints in the first place. A little too early to declare the return of the entertainers?

A very good performance by Saints and I do like the look of Walsh, but as you say it’s only the first round. What you said about Wigan also seems as you say a little harsh, yes they were out played but we must wait and see if the WCC had anything to do with that game. Who can say what the outcome would have been if Saints had played Hudds, and Wigan Wire, let’s not get over exited one way or the other, and wait and see a little further down the line when a truer picture will make thing much clearer, but a good win nonetheless. Just watch those high tackles!

Matty Smith is a pub player in comparison.

Come on he's a decent player ,but lets not look fools after 1 game. Matty Smith is a good player.
