As well as the official saints twitter account, I also follow quite a few of our players on twitter. It came to my attention an hour or so ago that both Tommy Makinson and Jordan Turner were wishing Danny Yates all the best on his move to France. A quick luck at his twitter account, @Dannyyates7 shows a lot of messages of good luck and some specifically mentioning a move to Catalans. With nothing being mentioned anywhere else I'm wondering if anybody could shed some light on this??

I see here it mentions UTC yet all on twitter it mentions Catalans. Does anybody know which is true or if they are a joint club or anything as I don't know much about French rugby. Shame to see him go, he was a very talented player who I thought would have a future with us especially with his name being mentioned for years coming through the ranks and captaining England e.t.c. Has Brown released him or has he chose to go there to get an opportunity?

We've got to fit Wello's and Laffranchi's pay rises in somehow. Not worth taking a gamble on a young player who only has great potential IMO.

No great loss in my opinion, I think Hewitt is far more promising from the 19's.

May have been retained if we still had 20's or older age group but as it stands I think the correct call has been made.
