Due to yesterday's results, we are now assured of a top 8 finish. Not so many weeks ago, some were worrying whether this would happen, and yet now we are sure to be there with 3 weeks to go.

Who was the aussie full back that you had around that time?

Was it Brent Grose or was he a winger?

I understand it's not a golden bullet. But given we have not had more than 2 weeks of any consistent halfback pairing, it was just a thought that had occured to me.

Like people say there are issues with is, but it's an option.

As for his full year counting on the salary cap, that can't be true surely. Otherwise loan players or players transfering club mid-season would become unstuck by this.

If we had a 2nd halfback playing already I would agree it's not a move I would like to see. But given our longer term injuries if we had the space, it would be an option worth keeping open. Even if just cover against GOB getting another shot to the head.

We signed grose as a centre in 03 and he was shifted to fullback in 05 to accommodate Gleeson and koh love's return.


Our actual full back at that point was my good mate Daryl cardiss, who we couldn't get on the field due to injury and I believe he had some family issues at the time, Appo did fill in occasionally or on the wing but in his mind he was stand off or nothing.

Grose, that was him. Not a bad player from what I remember

Cardiss was also a good player, I especially remember him being a live wire for Halifax.
