| He isn't the biggest of props but he runs it in like a mad man and looks pretty mobile. Let's give him a chance.

Like I've said in this thread, I've been impressed with him from what I've seen but very quite today.

| Yeah not his best today, industrious but unspectacular. Think he will have still got through a few metres though.

| I think Beaumont will be more of a squad player who will be in and out the 17. Masoe, LMS and Walmsley will be the main props with Laffranchi, Beaumont, Richards, Clough (if he's still here) and Walker as the other props.

I think we still need another good prop if we are to be serious title contenders. IMO maose, walmsley and Lms ain't good enough as a three, we need a big tough hard worker in there that can play mins.
If we can bring another good prop in along With Beaumont, walmsley, maose, Lms then I'd look at getting shut of clough. We'd have the five just mentioned plus the likes of walker and Thompson as back up.

| I'd like another prop and have stated so on here before but I think we're in a much better position next year than this season especially if LMS can play more consistently like he is now and Walmsley continues to progress like he is doing. Masoe could be brilliant, he could be a liability we don't know yet and Beaumont looks like the type who will run at a brick wall, although whether he'll be too small and will avoid injury is another question. I like Walker, I think before his injury he was showing good form and has done well the last two games and Richards looks like he could get a few more games next year. He's certainly big enough to make an impact if he develops, so in terms of depth we have more next season (especially as Laffranchi will still be here too by the sounds of things).
I think we're more desperate for a Stand Off to be honest, although I'd like another big prop too who can play long minutes, no doubt about it.

I would be great if we got both.

| I have read two references to Beaumont's size today. He doesn't look small to me, over 6ft and wider than Walmsley. Not sure it's an issue at all.

I think he's about 15st 3lbs and 6ft 2in.
I think he looks a little thin as he's pretty tall. IMO could do with putting few lbs on.

It's not something I've noticed to be honest but you may be right. He certainly doesn't get physically bullied anyway and runs with far more aggression than Laffranchi or Puletua (not great examples I know!)
