Lomax at 6!? Ridiculous. How much longer do we have to go through the pain of seeing Wellens at full back.

It's just sentiment , I knew we'd wedge him in , he was so terrible when played in the pack and when played in the halves that to use him there would be suicide so instead we'll persist with 'good old hard working Mr St Helens' plodding the ball back on kick returns hoping the opposition dont do a Danny Brough and pin us in our own 20 for half an hour with early kicks.

If we insist on ruining Lomax we should at least stick Hohaia or Makinson at 1 to give us a bit of pace at the back

Glad to see Hand in there and Lomax back, albeit at stand off.

Even tho I think lomax is the best fullback at the club and should be our number 1, I think we should play him 6 at the moment as it gives us a better balance. He will bring threat with the ball allowing O'Brian to dictate play.

Wello can't play anywhere else so it makes sense for lomax to play 6, rather than wello.

I agree, but the Wello sentiment has to stop soon. It surely can't go on into next season...

Like I said, I think he's the best fullback at the club but for the teams sake he has to play stand off with O'Brian at 7. Picking wello isn't sentiment as IMO he's the 2nd best fullback at the club.

However, I do agree that wello should not be offered another deal and the number 1 shirt next year should go to lomax as Walsh will be our 7.

I like having wilkin at 13 as he can act as another pivot with O'Brian as lomax is a runner more than a ball player. I feel the team does give us extra in attack a d that's something we've been missing.

The team Pete has posted is the same as I was told.

I think it will change by the time kick off comes. I wouldn't be shocked to see Thompson come in at 13, wilkin drop to stand off and lomax in the bench.

I've no idea, I don't bother trying to guess the last minute changes, it's too unpredictable.
